hey bud, would you mind pinning me to something and letting me struggle against your weight for a while? it’s good for my mental health
“I try to walk the road of Judaism. Embedded in that road there are many jewels. One is marked “Shabbat” and one “Civil Rights” and one “keeping Kosher” and one “Honor Your Parents” and one “Study of Torah” and one “You Shall be Holy.” There are at least 613 of them and they are of different shapes and sizes and weights. Some are light and easy for me to pick up, and I pick them up. Some are too deeply embossed for me, so far at least though I get a little stronger b trying to extricate the jewels as I walk the street. Some, perhaps, I shall never be able to pick up. I believe that God expects me to keep on walking Judaism Street and to carry away whatever I can of its commandments. I do not believe that God expects me to lift what I cannot, nor may I condemn my fellow Jew who may not be able to pick up even as much as I can.”

Using the bathroom in general is a human right and should be enshrined as such and I'm not joking. Too many groups of people are denied bathroom breaks or the use of bathrooms entirely--disabled people, blue-collar workers, children, homeless people, prisoners, students, the elderly. I'm surely missing other groups. Not using the bathroom when needed can cause serious, long-term damage, not to mention death. Free, clean, accessible bathrooms should be available everywhere. It's fucking cruel to deny someone the use of the bathroom, regardless of the reasoning. I'd rather every student in the world goof off and every homeless person make a mess and every worker "steal company time" than let one person suffer because they're denied the right to fucking pee in peace.
Since the TERFS have found this post, I want to be explicitly clear:
THIS POST INCLUDES TRANS PEOPLE.
In fact, it was an egregious mistake of mine to not explicitly include trans people in my original post. Trans people are whatever gender that they say and they especially deserve access to clean, safe bathrooms. TERFS are exactly some of the fuckwads that I'm against in this post: you shitty bastards will harass people in bathrooms and pass laws denying trans people their basic rights to use the bathroom in peace and then whine that people rightfully see you as cruel.
TERFS fuck off.
Since @andhumanslovedstories and @vaspider reblogged this post just recently I've gotten an influx of new followers. Just to be crystal clear, here is what I believe and here is where I stand. Terfs and other exclusionists are not welcome here.
fuck it we ball *turns off my work alarm and goes back to sleep*
thank you for reimbursing me for one (1) hour of work at the federal minimum wage rate, anon. this is ubi 🛌
Cis people getting trans surgeries doesn't scare me at all. I've seen cis girls who got top surgery for body mod reasons and they look cool as hell. I've seen ace people whose gotten bottom surgeries because they want to be less capable of sex. It's cool and normal actually.
thanks @bmoharrisbankofficial but unfortunately i can’t focus on the very important message here because i’m too busy being confused by the fact that apparently if you send an ask with only one letter tumblr will bold that letter in the “asked you” notification text?? why the fuck would that be the case
fascinating
what the fuck is the backend of this site like
This is so cute😭
bread! bread! bread! bread! bread!
in general I think this website has a serious problem about wanting to feel smugly superior about Literally Everything without spending even five seconds thinking about it first
thankfully I don't have this problem, because I'm better than you losers
Ending the stigma of drug use will save lives.
“Never Use Alone” is a number you can call when you have no choice but to use when you’re alone.
If you call (800) 484-3731, an operator will answer your call, and ask for your first name, location and whether you have any allergies, or medical conditions. After you’ve given us this information you can go ahead and inject your substance. After you’ve ingested the substance, we will continue communicating with you. If you do not respond after 30-45 seconds, we will notify emergency services of a possible overdose at the location you’ve given us.
We will never shame you, judge you, or preach at you to quit. If you are ready to quit though, we have treatment resources for every state in the US. Regardless if you have insurance, or not. We will do our best to connect you with the help you need. please call. We are on standby.

This seems like a solid and real thing, I did my best to vet them and found their FB: https://www.facebook.com/Neverusealone/
They also seem to help with getting Narcan.
holy shit this can actually save Real Lives like dudes this isn’t a joke and isn’t to be passed off
Never Use Alone doesn’t have an app (yet) but there are two apps that can be used all over the world. One that is available only on iOS last time I checked is The Canary Overdose prevention app and the other is Be Safe by The Brave Coop. They are both very easy to use.
from this reddit thread that has a lot of people talking about the hotline, including sharing their own experiences. additionally, it looks like there are also similar overdose prevention hotlines in other countries now, such as canada and scotland
For those in the notes wondering about their cop policy, here’s what they say on their website’s FAQ:
All operators are harm reductionists. Our goal is to reduce harm, not increase it, by getting you arrested. Our hope is that only EMS responds, but the truth is, we cannot guarantee that. To reduce the chances of the police showing up with EMS, when we call EMS, we report it as an “unresponsive person”, rather than an “overdose”. When you call 911 and report an “overdose”, a lot of times, police will automatically respond to those calls. So, by reporting it as an “unresponsive person” it reduces the chances of police responding.
They also say that all of their volunteers have personally experience with substance use, and that they do not accept volunteers employed by addiction treatment centers.

I'm actually super glad we're having a conversation about this. The masculinization of black and brown women, because for years I felt like I endured this unique form of trauma until I realized other people went through the same thing too. And if there's one thing that I'd like to add to the conversation, there seems to be this misconception that this is something that starts at puberty. Like boys tell you you look like a man to hurt your feeling when that's so far from the case.
The first time I was purposefully misgendered was in kindergarten. I was constantly referred to by the masculine variant of my name, I was chased out of the women's restroom, and I had grown adults questioning what my biological sex was before I even knew what the difference was. And those behaviors persisted into adulthood because now if I present as anything less than 100% feminine, people will either compare me to men or animals.
And for myself and for many other brown and black women this is a life long act deliberately intended to humiliate, shame, and other us for the features we were naturally born with and I'm glad we're having a discussion on how harmful it actually is.]
his brain fascinates me
I feel genuine sympathy for this dude. He killed his whimsy for love.
free him
BALANCE IS RESTORED !!
I checked the guy's Reddit account. He shaved it off because it was too high-maintenance and he was super busy after the birth of his daughter. Feel like the original Tumblr post is kind of implying that his wife pushed him to do it, which I'm happy to report isn't the case!
