Summer is almost upon us! Looking for your next beach read?

How about picking up SKIN DEEP, a queer polyamory romance / supernatural murder mystery that will charm even the most reticent of readers!

Three times over the summer, the lifeless body of a Selkie was found dumped in the river. Naked, and with a missing pelt.
Louison is sent by her clan to investigate those murders and visit the Selkie’s brand of justice upon the one responsible. But soon enough she meets two charming strangers who everyone in town seems to be falling in love with… including herself.

Paperback available on Amazon and Ebook available everywhere that sells them! Check out blanchetmarie.com/en for full blurb and details

when u come up with a tiny change for your story that not only makes the writing flow better but also hammers in the character motivations and story theme

ok i caved in and got some self pub books from amazon (just a couple on the cheaper side because the rest were $30+++) and found some that can be printed by an australian online bookseller for slightly cheaper so here's hoping they're good :)))

one thing you won't know until you experience it for yourself when you create art out of love is how it feels when people receive it with love. when you post a doodle and someone keeps it as their lockscreen, or when you write a story and someone tells you they were thinking about it all day, or when you post a poem and someone shares it with a touching caption. doesn't matter if it was objectively good or not. matters that someone spent time with it, that someone really, really liked it, and you made it. this kind of interaction, i think, it can really sustain you for weeks. it can sustain you through a lot of terrible things. its confirmation that you exist, and that (however briefly) your existence was appreciated by someone else through your art.

im in a dilemma because i want to support more indie authors and I've managed to find some books in-store/secondhand shops/at my local library but so many indie authors use solely amazon and it's so expensive to buy and ship out paperbacks to australia and i don't have a kindle just the kobo app for ebooks (which I rarely use because it hurts my eyes reading whole books on screen) plus i hate amazon for what they've done to destroy the bookselling industry but I want indie books so I might just have to suck it up and pay $50+ for a paperback or read more ebooks and worry about my eyes later
