How the tables have turned

About a month ago I began a project to recreate something another user (@battlecrazed-axe-mage I think) had posted about and now I have racked the first batch of Peeps Wine and sampled it as it goes into secondary fermentation.

Pictured above is the the racked majority and the stuff that got agitated in the siphoning process that I decided to chill and run through some coffee filters before sampling to see if this would just be a waste of my time.

Honestly for a first attempt at making alcohol of any kind without much direction and without any oversight from my friends who actually do home-brewing, I think it turned out alright! After some sips I decided to sweeten it a little with some elderflower syrup and then lengthen it with some sparkling water and honestly it was really drinkable! Not stunning or winning any awards but something I’m actually kind of proud I pulled off. I’m excited to fuck around and find out with more stuff going forward.
