In Search Of Things To Intrigue

@thesearchofthingstointrigue

I like things that intrigue. Steven he/him/his Elder Millennial (35), Bi but not exactly out, I like to keep myself ambiguous to those who know me outside, my sexuality is a trivia matter. Frequent Star Trek poster, commentator, analyst. Left politically, Right handedly. πŸ––πŸ½πŸ––πŸΌπŸ––πŸ»πŸ––πŸΏπŸ––πŸΎπŸ––

The Vulcan pictured here (screencaps courtesy @trekcore), the one with the long bladed lirpa weapon, I believe officially he's referred to as the Vulcan Executioner. I propose a name for him, something along the lines of T'Peks, T'Pex, or T'Pecs, possibly T'Pec or T'Pek. Reasonings for why should be obvious for even the most novice punsmith, as those pecs are the most noteworthy feature on this Greenblooded Warrior man.

... the eyebrow tho...

I also love how all the redshirts are the same size and then Number One

Spock, my friend, just listen to Nyota and Erica, they get it. La'an, Una, I love you both, but until you either are a language and communications subject matter expert in xenolinguistics or have had personal experience with a lirpa, Nyota and Erica have this. Una, you're just making Vulcans Russian, and La'an, you've been in Spock's head via mind meld, granted just once, but you know he's not robotic, neurotic maybe, but not robotic.

I'd go for the other secret option. I do agree that spicy is definitely part of the Vulcan flavor vernacular, but I think the Vulcan flavor pallette is more broadly spiced than just strictly spicy. I posit that as base taste (sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami), Vulcans tend to gravitate towards sweet and umami, preferring bitterness to sourness, and having things lightly salted with more indulgent Vulcans preferring salty foods (you can't have things too salty on an arid, hot planet, lest you risk dehydration). As for gustatorily sensory flavors spicy is definitely enjoyed, but so is the cooling sensations of mint-like herbs and spices, and numbing sensations like what Szechuan peppercorns provide. Overall, aside from sensory spices and flavors, owing to their highly adept olfactory senses they prefer a level of spicing of dishes that might overwhelm certain subsets of Humans especially those of more pale complexions, however Humans hailing from the Asiatic regions, Mesoamerican and South American regions, and African regions of Earth might just be at home in a Vulcan spice cabinet. Intensity of flavors to many Vulcans is seen as an outlet for more emotive creativity, and in some counterintuitive ways aids in the supression of their emotions.

As an aside, while creamy, fattier dishes dishes are not common, many Vulcans do take certain guilty pleasures in their logically derived enjoyment.

dr who’s on first, doctor strange is on second and doctor house is on third. theres no way theyre getting through a single inning

so who’s on first?

That’s right πŸ‘πŸ»

that’s strange

No, he’s on second.

Well how’s he on second if he’s on first?

No no no, House is on third. Second base is Strange.

Well this whole darn thing is strange but what I’m asking is who’s on first?

Avatar

Naturally.

So Naturally is the first baseman?

No. The first baseman is Who.

Well I don’t know that so how’s about you tell me?

House is on Third.

I’m not asking you about third base I’m asking you about first base.

Who’s on first!

This is horrible

Dr Horrible is the pitcher, not first base

That’s not what I’m asking about! No!

Dr No is in the outfield, but let’s not worry about them right now.
