In Search Of Things To Intrigue

@thesearchofthingstointrigue

I like things that intrigue. Steven he/him/his Elder Millennial (35), Bi but not exactly out, I like to keep myself ambiguous to those who know me outside, my sexuality is a trivia matter. Frequent Star Trek poster, commentator, analyst. Left politically, Right handedly. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป๐Ÿ––๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ––

The Vulcan pictured here (screencaps courtesy @trekcore), the one with the long bladed lirpa weapon, I believe officially he's referred to as the Vulcan Executioner. I propose a name for him, something along the lines of T'Peks, T'Pex, or T'Pecs, possibly T'Pec or T'Pek. Reasonings for why should be obvious for even the most novice punsmith, as those pecs are the most noteworthy feature on this Greenblooded Warrior man.

seven really told jack 'your new position aboard this ship is to be my special little guy'

Seven was reborn on a ship full of Special Little Guys. There was Special Little Guy Cook and Guide, Special Little Guy Waifish Botanist Nurse Girl, Special Little Guy Ex-Con Ex-Maquis Pilot, Special Little Guy Ex-Terrorist First Officer, Special Little Guy Ever Suffering In Need of a Promotion Hot Ensign Man, Special Little Guy Half-Klingon Ex-Terrorist Engineer Woman, Special Little Guy Sometimes Spy Handsy Vulcan Dad, Special Little Guy Holographic Doctor, and Special Little Guy Captain's Assistant Girl and her Special Little Guy Should Have Been Main Cast Mother. Janeway had a crew of Special Little Guys including Special Little Guy Ex-Borg Woman. Seven needed to start her Special Little Guy collection and Jack Picard-Crusher foot the bill.

data and geordi should have kissed with tongue in this week's episode of star trek picard. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I was yelling at my screen for them to hug. Damnit, you two give us something more than the rawest most intimate of dialogue. Geordi's professed love of Data's memory made him a better man and Data tricked Lore with his memories as trophies (which likely included Geordi) to overpower him to become whole.

Seven and Shawโ€™s dynamic is endlessly fascinating to me

He wonโ€™t respect her name due to his Borg trauma but will not hesitate to die for her

She will call him out for being a disrespectful bigoted asshole but will not sacrifice his life

Iโ€™ve never seen two people this Angyโ„ข๏ธ at each other but will still die for each other

Itโ€™s such a differently unique Captain and XO dynamic when compared to the other captains and first officers on the other shows

Shaw is there like "You represent all my Battle of Wolf 359 PTSD so I can't fully respect you, but I will not hesitate to sacrifice my life for you"

Meanwhile, Seven if like "Oh, oh no you don't die for me. Respect me, respect my name - Seven of Nine - and call me that, get some damn therapy, and then, maybe, I'll let you die for me. You haven't earned the honor of sacrificing your life for me yet."

Cardassians love wave pools and there is one on DS9. It was called the Gul Dukat Wave Pool until the Federation took over.

Then they renamed it the Jean-Luc Picard Wave Pool.

Sisko tried to shut it down. โ€œWe donโ€™t have the resources!โ€ But the only people who line wave pools more than the Cardies are the Bajorans.

I think it would be funnier if people accidentally called it the Jean-Luc Picard Memorial Wave Pool, despite Jean-Luc not being, well, dead (yet), and the addition of Memorial stuck. And at some point someone erected a Jean-Luc Picard Statue (in his slutty little Risa outfit).
