@feraladoration tbh as soon as i saw the poll for which midwestern food was most disgusting i really thought snickers salad sounded kind of passable so i immediately shuffled off to target, zombie-like, in order to buy pudding and apples

#I've def gotten teary at a few games over the years#but the most I've ever straight-up why-won't-the-tears-stop-coming cried at the ending of a video game#valiant hearts: the great war#which was actually kind of impressive considering it overall had a much happier ending than I was expecting#but that last scene#the very last scene#I've heard 'pointless' described as the overall theme (for lack of a better word) for world war I#and the pure unadulterated potency of the 'none of this had to happen' energy of the last scene of valiant hearts#*chef's kiss through the sobbing*#(to get one quick point out of the way though for anyone considering playing the game: yes the dog lives)#I understand they just released (or are about to release) a sequel on netflix of all places#I'll have to check that out#this has been a post
