Every time I walked in the room...😆
“Ready Fred?”
“Ready George.”
The Weasley twins are plotting.
Hinny as 1989:
Blank Space:
“Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
'Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game”
This isn’t actually as Ginny but I feel like some people in the fandom portray Ginny in a similar way the media portrays Taylor. They’re both shown as a manipulative, cold-hearted, liars and as selfish, heartbreakers who’ve gone through hundreds of guys. I do think some people in the HP universe would also think this of Ginny so I find it funny thinking of Ginny jokingly saying “Darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream” to Harry.
Out of the Woods:
“Looking at it now
It all seems so simple
We were lying on your couch
I remember
You took a Polaroid of us
Then discovered
The rest of the world was black and white
But we were in screaming color” /
“Remember when we couldn't take the heat?
I walked out, I said "I'm setting you free"
But the monsters turned out to be just trees
When the sun came up you were looking at me”
This seems like it’s from Harry’s perspective on the Horcrux Hunt/after the war, especially because a recurring theme in the song is looking back. Also the song is called “Out of the Woods” and Harry spent most of the Horcrux Hunt in the woods.
I Wish You Would:
“Wish you would come back
Wish I'd never hung up the phone like I did
I wish you knew that
I'd never forget you as long as I'd live” / “2 A.M., here we are
See your face
Hear my voice in the dark
We're a crooked love
In a straight line down
Guess you wanna run and hide
But it made us turn right back around”
I like to think of this song as Harry’s perspective after he broke up with Ginny all the way until they got back together again. I also think that the second lyric is similar to how they could’ve got back together after the war.
Wildest Dreams:
“And when we've had our very last kiss
My last request is
Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress
Staring at the sunset, babe
Red lips and rosy cheeks
Say you'll see me again
Even if it's just in your wildest dreams” / “I said,
“No one has to know what we do"
His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room
And his voice is a familiar sound
Nothing lasts forever
But this is getting good now” / “You'll see me in hindsight
Tangled up with you all night
Burnin' it down
Someday when you leave me
I bet these memories
Follow you around”
I LOVE THIS SONG FOR HINNY. Wildest Dreams does not get enough appreciation for how well it fits Harry and Ginny. I think this is Ginny’s perspective from their relationship before Dumbledore died and Harry broke up with. Ginny’s a smart girl I think she knew that her relationship wouldn’t last forever. You can tell that when Harry breaks up with her; she’s so calm and it seems like she’s already accepted it. Also the “Someday when you leave me, I bet these memories, follow you around” is literally what happened to Harry on his hunt.
How You Get The Girl:
“Say it's been a long six months
And you were too afraid to tell her what you want
And that's how it works
That's how you get the girl” /
“Remind her how it used to be, be
Yeah, with pictures in frames of kisses on cheeks
Tell her how you must've lost your mind
When you left her all alone and never told her why
And that's how it works
That's how you lost the girl”
This doesn’t seem like anyone perspective but more as an anonymous third-person narrater. The first lyrics fits when Harry first kissed Ginny he had waited ages to do it because he was afraid of rejection and Ron. The second lyrics reminds me he broke up with Ginny and even though he kinda explained to Ginny why he didn’t really tell her much except he had to leave. Overall this song reminds me of how Harry “got” Ginny then lost her then “got” her back.
This Love:
“Clear blue water
High tide came and brought you in
And I could go on and on, on and on, and I will
Skies grew darker
Currents swept you out again
And you were just gone and gone, gone and gone” /
“This love is good
This love is bad
This love is alive back from the dead
These hands had to let it go free, and
This love came back to me”
THIS LOVE DESERVES MORE APPRECIATION! It just fits so well. It’s definitely from Ginny’s perspective when Harry broke up with her then came back to her. Also ”This love is alive back from the dead, These hands had to let it go free, and this love I like to think of this song as both Harry’s and Ginny perspective after Harry broke up with her all the way until they got back together again. I also think that the second lyric is similar to how they could’ve got back together after the war. Also it references about a the Love coming back from the dead and obviously when Taylor wrote it was meant in a metaphorical way but for Hinny it could be used in their real situation because Harry did come back from the dead for Ginny.
I Know Places:
“Just grab my hand and don't ever drop it, my love
They are the hunters, we are the foxes, and we run
Baby, I know places we won't be found
And they'll be chasing their tails trying to track us down
'Cause I know places we can hide”
This fits so well for post-war Hinny. I imagine that paparazzi would be all over Harry and his name would be in the newspaper every week practically. Ginny also would be quite high-profile but only because of who she was dating but her time with harpies would’ve made it worse. Harry and Ginny would’ve definitely have their fair share of time tuning from cameras.
Wonderland:
“We found Wonderland
You and I got lost in it
And we pretended it could last forever” /
“Didn't they tell us don't rush into things?
Didn't you flash your green eyes at me?
Haven't you heard what becomes of curious minds?
Ooh, didn't it all seem new and exciting?”
This feels like Ginny perspective looking back on her and Harry’s relationship first relationship. Perhaps not during the war because she had bigger problems but after during the period when Voldemort was dead but her and Harry still weren’t together, yet. Also Taylor seems slightly angry in this (I’m not sure why just a vibe) and I don’t think Ginny would be angry during the war but maybe a little bit afterwards.
You Are In Love:
“Morning, his place, burnt toast, Sunday
You keep his shirt, he keeps his word
And for once you let go
Of your fears and your ghosts
One step, not much, but it said enough
You kissed on sidewalks
You fight and you talk
One night he wakes, strange look on his face
Pauses, then says, you're my best friend
And you knew what it was, he is in love” /
“You two are dancing in a snow globe, go round and round
And he keeps the picture of you in his office downtown
You understand now why they lost their minds
And fought the wars
And why I've spent my whole life try to put it into words”
God this song is so Hinny. I imagine this as post-war and post-Hogwarts when they started living together. Also they’re are so many small details in this song that seem like Harry and Ginny. Like the part about the guy keeping a picture of a girl in his office, Harry definitely did that. Also the also the last part of the first lyric just seems like something Harry would’ve done. Plus the part where it talks about letting go of fears and ghosts would fit because after the war I think Harry and Ginny would help eachother heal I suggest listening to this entire song (along with This Love and Wildest Dreams) they all go amazing well.
