this would genuinely be my last meal on earth. well it would be a v close tie with chicken and waffles. wait, if it's my last meal can I have both?

Really trying to appreciate this time when it's just me and her these days. Less than a month to go before my due date and I'm exhausted and she's challenging me more than ever, but still. At least for now I can still put on some Disney music videos and we can cuddle up on the couch. Ps. More pics coming soon to the blog from our maternity session with @elizabethmessina 😍 dress from @shoptilden

"We are often the most critical of ourselves when we’re in our underwear. We hope to encourage women to feel good in their own skin." I am so pumped to be sharing the story of Lauren and Marissa today and how they built a brand that centers on making women feel beautiful in their own skin through their brand @negativeunderwear - do not miss today's installment of our latest #bossladies series! ✊🏼

Is it just me or does this feel like the longest winter of all time? I may need to start having flowers in my house every week to cope. Thankfully I snagged a few this week from @nataliebdesigns @jennikayne πŸ™ŒπŸΌ (at Stanford Shopping Center)

When I was a mere baby at 25 I made my way to NYC for the first time. I was working for another photographer. He shot runway each season. I begged him to let me come. After a few seasons he gave in. It was on that trip I got the NYC bug. The glitz, glam, sexiness, and non stop energy this city has bit me hard. I also met this fancy magazine editor on the trip and we became fast friends. Everything about her was fancy. Her style was incredible, she had two cell phones, and she did the European double kiss greeting. And she wore red lipstick everyday. I wanted to be just like her in every way. She just had that je ne sais quoi. She was a woman. At the end of the trip I sheepishly walked into a Sephora--a store I had never walked into at that point--and bought my first red lipstick. IT WAS @narsissist NARS matte lip pencil in Cruella. It was a tiny little tube of makeup. But putting it on made me feel like a whole new girl. No it actually made me feel like a woman. To this day I don't leave the house without it. And whenever I put it on I think of that first NYC trip that seemed to change everything for me. #verilyredlipchallenge πŸ“· @tuttidelmonte

It felt like I was walking through Narnia this week as I traipsed through Central Park with my friend. It was frrrrreezing, snowing sideways, with gusts of wind pushing us through the park. But even still it was like we were giddy school kids filled with wonder. Friends life can get crazy, but let's always create space for moments of play and wonder. πŸ™ŒπŸ¦„πŸ™ πŸ“· @sarakerens

"One thing people may or may not know is that I’m actually half Guatemalan! A love for my heritage is the true reason behind starting @nenaandco." So excited to be sharing the #bosslady @ali_hynek on @therefinedwoman today

we love a woman who's not afraid to rock a sweet pocket square ✊🏼 for more tips on being generally amazing at getting dressed, check out @carorooney on the blog today

One of the new columns on @therefinedwoman this year is highlighting women who inspire us with their Style + Grace. Today we bring you @carorooney - while she is in Mexico City celebrating her wedding (!!) we get to enjoy some of her thoughts on dressing as a stylist and as a boss lady. "As a stylist, I specialize in menswear. That means I spend most of my days working with male clients, in male dominated menswear shops, tailoring shops and department stores. It’s important to me to dress in a way that looks pulled together, on-trend, and also in line aesthetically with the look I recommend for my clients. Often times, when I first meeting clients and associates, there’s a certain doubt about my experience in menswear, both because of my age, and because I’m a woman. It’s my job to immediately debunk that by presenting myself (and my business) as professional, experienced, and knowledgeable of trends, design, and construction.”
