In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God: and the Word was God.

Stop it

The beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

There is none beside God: neither is there any that knoweth God, nor is there any that seeth God, save it be we, for God is the light of men.

And God created the Word and the Word was beside him, the Word lives as God lives because the Word is within God. Jesus is the Word and thus is the righthand of God.

Right and left hand, but who has the true righthand

God does, God made the Word but the Word is IN God.

They are one but also act independently. The Word is God’s assistant and does what God asks of him. Jesus is the Word and the Word is God but they are independent yet also whole.

I am confused by “The Word is God’s assistant, not God himself.” In 1:3, “the Word” is already God, who then proceeds to create the rest of humanity as God’s “accomplishment.” The Word is created. “The Word” is both God and the agent of his creation, like God and “the Angel of the Lord” (2:13) and “another man” (1:26).

In any case, this all seems to depend on the fact that the “Word” is not God at the outset, but in fact God created the Word from the start. The “Word” is God.

That is true, the Word is God's mouthpiece, the Word Is God's son and the Word IS God. But the Word is Jesus, for Jesus is God's law and word made true and whole.

Jesus Is God's hands and feet and he does what his Father orders of him and thus the Word is the embodiment of God's light made whole.

Although Jesus is the son of God he is God's mouthpiece and God is in his son

They are one being, God's light made perfect, whole and true but at the same time two different people.

We cannot look directly at God's light for it would blind us, so the Word is born, God's light given form into his Son.
