So I thought to myself "Eh I'll try to catch up on work after being off for recovery time". I ended up drawing this contribution to the cultural zeitgeist of Elden Ring instead.
It's all I could think of during the game's latter events when we're expected to carry on even while the world falls apart around us. It wasn't in good shape to begin with! 🔥🥲

Behold the SUPER MEGA Year-End Art Compilation Post! I wasn't able to get much done with the shoulder surgery and house move happening, but what little I did manage to do I'm very proud of! 2022 was a chance to forget about being a SRS ARTIST for a while and just enjoying the painting process and spending time with my oft-neglected original characters.

I hadn't challenged myself to do so many different weapons, armor, and body types in a single piece before. I hope to do more like this sometime!
The Long-Term Timeline
I always like to update this art timeline every year as an ongoing tradition.
In the grand scheme of things, I can see where my draftsmanship is becoming more refined this year. Hope to keep that trend going in 2023 with more painterly work!

I've rambled more about my feelings about the upheaval in the art industry, my place in it, and my future plans at my recent blog post.
TL;DR
The increasing use of automation has me wanting to focus less on my decorative art and more on my specific characters and stories. I'm looking forward to wrapping up my Birthstone Goddesses so I can pursue more narrative art next!

SUMMER is coming June 21st and so are my Goddesses of Summer enamel pins! I am so hyped to see these designs coming to fruition and to see this project of mine moving into wearable art, which is something I’ve always wanted to do.

i’ve heard a lot of people talk about the EXCELLENT potential of a high intelligence/low wisdom dnd character (i.e. an brilliant academic who keeps setting their dumb ass on fire because they always store their wand in their back pocket)
but i’ve not seen any posts about the equal potential of a high wis/low int character (i.e. someone incredibly perceptive who gives deep and meaningful reassurance to their friends and then 5 minutes later asks what a can opener is)
