the washing machine and dryer fuck each other when you're not around btw

when i was very young, maybe 3-6 years old, i thought the washer and dryer were married, the washer was the wife and the dryer was the husband. whenever i'd go into the laundry room i'd just look at them and be like oh yes. this is peak romance.

They coparent the microwave and the toaster quite well though!

there are like five rules to life and those rules are

1. eat 3 meals a day

2. always have a non alcoholic drink with you

3. never trust anything you think about your life after 8-9pm

4. do a little something for urself every day

5. interact with a Beast at least once a day (human, feline, canine, lizard, bird, etc)

and the secret 6th rule:

6. if you can't do all of those rules, just do the ones you can

If you're ever not sure what to talk about in therapy, having trouble with any of these things, steps towards making them easier/possible, or addressing barriers that are getting in the way of these things are all EXCELLENT topics for therapy.

HOLD THE LINE!! KEEP PUSHING!!!!!

Sorry babes but as someone who lived lug around 500 cds they can die. To me lps are at least pretty and pretentious like a fine wine. Cds have no point

the point is cds are sexy as hell. sorry you dont know what sex is.

visual diagram btw ^

The point is I fucking own my music that I bought and I don't have to worry that itll be pulled from a streaming service on a whim.

I can rip them and make MP3s to put on my phone or MP3 player of choice whenever I want and there's fuck-all anybody can do to tell me "no, wait, we pulled that from our service you can't listen to it anymore!"

what the fuuuuuck

this is a short horror story

Please make sure to reblog this with the explanation you guys:

The toddler doesn’t know Alexa is a name; as far as they’re concerned it’s a word that makes things happen. If the kid was saying “please play baby shark” it would mean literally the same thing to them because they don’t really understand language yet.

The toddler is mimicking adult behavior because they have seen adults say things that start with “Alexa” and have learned that starting a request with “Alexa” makes it more likely to be fulfilled. This kid has learned something about how their world works purely through observation! This isn’t a bad thing! It’s just been misapplied and it’s up to the parents to correct their speech as they grow enough to understand the difference.

  1. That is absolutely an accurate assessment about what is technically happening from a language development perspective
  2. That the child is holding his mother’s face and speaking into her eyes the magic command that makes things happen does not make this any less of a horror story

some beetles cant fly but they dont mind. they are more armored than agile and in certain situations this is desirable

turns the page of my textbook. what eelse is there to learn

the common ancestor of all current day beetles was a sect of philosphers in ancient greece that took to creeping secretly within the earth as an ideal lifestyle

Queer kids deserve to become queer adults. To grow up supported. To go through adolescence finding themselves, instead of going through their 20s grieving the years they weren’t safe and had to pretend to be someone else. To be safely queer before financial independence. Wanting queer youngsters to not have a lifetime of conditioning and trauma to unpack isn’t child abuse, it is literally the opposite. Queer kids deserve to be safe.

judging by the usernames, this post has found its target audience

I read a sci-fi novel once where a character's immune system flooded them with endorphins any time they felt negative emotions, essentially rendering them incapable of guilt or remorse.

How do they scare people straight?

threaten rejection from family and society, justify hate in the name of god, spread myths about perverts and molesters, incite fear about disease, spread lies about human sexuality, threaten rejection from work and community, propagate lies about sin, publicly humiliate queers, withhold information about sex, erase queers from history, allow homophobia on television, deny queers equal protection under the law, promote family values, promise happiness to those who conform.

This is my tribe. Many of us in our home countries live off selling handmade goods, especially the mochilas. Weaving is an important Wayuú tradition. Every pattern and assortment of colors tells a unique story, and it's important to our cultural identity. And right now with the crises in Venezuela and Colombia, a lot of us are struggling financially. Please always purchase directly from indigenous communities!
