This Theme is also designed to display all of Tumblr’s post types. No matter what type of content you want to publish on your blog, this theme will display it beautifully.
gonzopress(ious)’ layout fully adapts to fill your whole screen with posts - from the smallest mobile or tablet to the largest cinema display, .. resize your browser and see for yourself! This theme allows you to upload big(ger) images to show off to your friends, but please consider image compression! There are lots of free online image optimization tools on the interwebz!
While gonzopress(ious) is designed to be great out of the box, there is plenty for you to customize. Options include showing or hiding the captions on the indexpage, enabling or disabling infinite-scroll / pagination, uploading a logo image, adding a webfont of your choice via ‘Font Embed Code’ and much .. much more.
gonzopress(ious)’ Title, Header Image, Logo Image, Avatar Image and Description are all fully customizable via the Customization Panel. This way you can give your new blog a personal ‘look and feel’!
If the default colors don’t take your fancy, .. don’t worry, gonzopress(ious) has you covered. Although there is an array of customizable color options (header background, footer background, bodytext color, navigation links, etc.), some colors are ‘fixed’ to always ensure a good contrast to convey your message the best possible way.
In the Customization Panel you can set your Breakpoint (px, em or %) for the Mobile Navigation based on the amount of navigation menu items, so the layout of the main navigation menu will not break!
On individual post pages you can keep browsing through your posts using the simple previous/next post buttons, without having to go back to the home page.
This Tumblr Theme provides a set of web-safe fonts that users can select from. But for advanced users, I’ve built in support for embedding web fonts from services like TypeKit, Fonts.com and Google Fonts (with over 600 fonts to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice). You can paste in your embed code and name your fonts for the main type elements in the Custom CSS field.
This theme also uses FontAwesome 4.4.0, so you can easily include this iconset in your posts or pages. Default font is Open Sans via Google Fonts, change your body font in the Custom CSS field to enable this font.
Included are some great social media icons so you can link to your favourite social media profiles. Included are: Dribbble, Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Twitter, Vimeo, Behance, GitHub, YouTube and more.
gonzopress(ious) has Tumblr’s like and re-blog functions enabled and also features a neat social sharing widget in the footer of each post - allowing your visitors to quickly and easily share your posts on Twitter, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest and/or Email.
If you want to enable comments on your blog, just sign up for an account with Disqus, and once you’re all set up just paste your Disqus Shortname into the customization panel.
Support for Google Analytics tracking is built in and ready to go. Just create a new property for your blog in your Google Analytics account, and then paste the Property ID into the theme options.
I’ve also made some cool extra features to personalize this blog theme, read all about it here
gonzopress(ious) has some 3rd party software integration built-in, enabling you to insert all kind of ‘widgets’ with the provided copy-and-paste Embed code from the specific application. Examples are: Codepen, SoundCloud, Spotify, SlideShare, JotForms and more.
I’ve also included a couple of jQuery plugins in this Theme, to make everything work smoothly and without fuss. A big thanks for the great people responsible for coding these plugins:
