For my 3D production class I had to create a three shot short that was a remake of an existing movie scene- with muppets. I ran out of time to do the particle water effects, but this is basically Pacific Rim anyway.

This is insane. If women aren’t passing this test about what you need to do to be physically fit, then so fucking be it. The battlefield won’t lower its standards, so neither should we.

While soldiers are bleeding out on the battlefield, unable to be dragged or carried to safety by people who couldn’t meet the physical standards required to do so, they can die content in the knowledge that at least our armed forces are the most Diverse™ and Inclusive™ in the world.

We’ve won a few battles in the midst of losing a lot of “wars” since 1945. As our political and military leadership goes woke, we can be sure the battles and wars we’ll win in the future will become fewer and further between.

This is simply reverting to the standards in place 3 years ago. The PT test has always been scored on a sliding scale for age and women have always had a lower requirement. Three years ago they decided to make it age and gender neutral. No need for a 45 year old female clerk or cook to be required to meet the same standard as a 19 year old infantry soldier.

Women shouldn’t have a lower requirement. 

Five bucks says mainstream feminism won’t say a word about this. And if they do, they’ll somehow make it about misogyny, not blatant systemic female privilege.

You already have a comic book movie about how the American healthcare system sucks. It’s called Joker and it just made over a billion dollars. But apparently that’s not good enough because…because.

Nora’s also been a character in the comics, and if you don’t have Nora in a jar, there goes Freeze’s primary character drive. It would be like having Batman without dead parents. 

You can technically do it, but it would take a lot of extra work and be a very different character.

It could work if she’s an actual character in the beginning of the movie but gets jar’ed at around the midpoint

constantly flushing your dash with content about how you hate being alive, others' vent posts about how terrible they feel every day, sad poems, "nobody will every love me" aesthetic pics, etc. its okay to express your struggles sometimes but building a collection of misery and despair is making you worse.

If I remember correctly Fenton is a flat-coated retriever. A lot of people thought him a lab, but flat-coats are rowdier. One lived next door when I was a kid and was always bouncing around.

Well, if I wanted to be cynical - on purpose, I mean - I could point to the Dems dicey chances in the midterms, and suggest the ACLU is trying to get brownie points with the potential winning team.

They've never cared about that, I think that they actually get more in donations when the GOP is running the show since they're one of the big legal groups that runs opposition to them. In this particular instance, like it says in different words in the article, the slippery slope was to blatant and well greased to ignore, they acknowledge defending Veritas is not something they want to do but if they let this slide it will be used against leftist groups too. Which that part might be because they see the winds on capital hill shifting in a few months.
