You guys are gonna hate me for this but i genuinely think it would make more sense if kais storyline in s7 was given to nya instead.
Like I just feel like Kai being so mad and upset about his parents being evil is kinda ooc? Like yea he knew them more then Nya did. But at the same time, wether they were evil or not, they still left him and the damage has already been done. So what difference does it make? It shouldn’t really hold any emotional weight. Besides he cares a lot more about his CURRENT relationships then his past ones. He’s more likely to care about Lloyd or cole or even dareth betraying him then his parents.
Meanwhile nya is more (I hate to say this but I will) emotional then Kai is. She holds grudges a lot more and takes betrayal a lot more seriously. She also had more time to get angry at her parents leaving, because she’s better at actually feeling emotions then Kai is. I can totally see her thinking her parents were evil before s7, and having krux confirm that, which makes her 1. More likely to believe him then Kai 2. More reasonably upset.
Also I really like the idea of having conflict between Kai and nya in this season and exploring their sibling dynamic
In a way, Kai can kinda represent the present/future. He’s more worried about what to do now then what happened back then. Because he always had this head first approach to everything
While Nya represents the past. She wants to know why these things happened and she wants to get revenge for it. She cant let things go.

The first instance I can remember is during MotM where Kai and Nya reunite and hug. In this scene, Kai jumps on Nya and she carries him. There’s no spin, but maybe they think of this later on because in Dragons Rising, Kai picked up Lloyd and they spin when they reunited after the merge. The same thing happened with Lloyd and Nya later on when Lloyd wakes up after the final fight.
SO, Nya picks up Kai, Kai picks up Lloyd, and Lloyd picks up Nya

Really though, what was that about? I don’t know is a valid answer. It communicates very clearly that the child cannot answer your question, and therefore maybe needs more help understanding the question/situation. Why do you try and push them to give an answer they don’t have? That stresses them out and it makes them feel like they’re being punished for not knowing something.
i thought i was the only one with an “i don’t know” problem because my parents made it seem it was the strangest and also most horrible thing in the world. i genuinely didn’t know and they got angry and that only blocked my thoughts more which meant i didn’t know the answer to anything else.

Also “I don’t know” is a commonly used sentence for children with ADHD/Autism. We DON’T know why we can’t do our homework. We DON’T know why we can’t eat certain foods sometimes. We DON’T know why we forgot to do a chore. It’s really distressing when you genuinely don’t know and people think you’re just lying or indifferent
