Okay folks we are on Layer 2 of the TGS iceberg. As you probably know the layers of almost all icebergs work by surface knowledge and as we go down it is lesser know stuff so now we are getting to lesser know canon stuff and early concept art such as
Disclaimer: I kept this in my drafts number 1 and number 2 I have had a crap week mentally with a lot of stress so if anything is off or wrong then I apologize. Anyways have fun reading.
1. Original Frankenstein- in the concepts, Frankenstein was pretty much gonna be the same. He was a guy who created a monster who lost everything. Of course that got change and she is the angry science grandma we all know and love

2. Original Jekyll- this is kinda interesting. And I’m putting it here because I feel like this has been mostly forgotten about but this is the same situation with bleeding heart but Jekyll’s first appearance wasn’t in TGS but was in Sage’s short Paraphernalia. I haven’t seen it in a while but I think the girl who would later become Rachel was super shy and scared and the later Jekyll kinda helped her out of that.
3. The Pseudo Scientists- this was the original title for TGS and it was hella a lot different then the TGS we know today. For example, Robert who I don’t even know still had that name, was pretty much Henry’s nemesis, I don’t know if the society was a thing, and if I can find it, I think Jasper was a toy maker? Or maybe that was Jasper’s brother I am not sure.
4. DeviantArt- this pretty much where all of the early concept art lives. I think I’ve also seen some on Pinterest and in old tumblr posts. But other than the first photo these are also my favorite
Oh and by the way, fun fact about me…um I’ve never seen millennials and early gen z’s favorite show Hannah Montana so this is, other than the songs, the only other pics of media I’ve seen related to Hannah Montana and now I refuse to see it I’m keeping it like this cause I think it funny.
Also before anyone asks “Oh Emma, how do you know about these things?” The dumpster fire of a year 2020 I was bored like we all were and I went down the TGS rabbit hole. Multiple, multiple, multiple times.
4. Original Robert- I think that out of all of the TGS characters, Robert is probably the most interesting one. Not because of his character arc and development but…because of how much he has changed from them to now.
- Robert is the co founder of the society
- Robert is Henry’s best friend and boyfriend now I guess unless if last chapter was just a fever dream or one night stand
- Robert is biracial and has dark skin.
- don’t know if his name was originally going to be Robert
- pretty much he was gonna be Henry’s enemy or at least frenemy.
- he hated the society or if not the society the whole science thing.
- he was white and red headed if I remember correctly
5. The Cliffs of Insanity- okay gonna be completely honest…I have no fucking clue what this was. There are “chapter” art on deviantart but it was more in parts than chapters. There’s only one scene or page of it I found on their tumblr. So I have no idea what the story was gonna be. Also (and this goes with almost all the concept arts) this is no longer canon.
So what have we learned today folks well that’s simple uh…if Sage wanted to make a new concept art book of TGS uh I would buy it I would buy multiple copies.
