He's got so many of the bastards he's not even pretending to keep track anymore You think he uses the cards when he forgets their names? Action Comics 344

How else is he gonna remember that Catwoman is cat-themed or that the Mad Hatter uses hats for evil?????

Electro’s power can not be contained.

happy 1 decade to this post

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s greatest flaw was that it tried to claim Electro’s power can be contained when we know for a fact that it can not

I mean. Was his power actually contained? Or did he go on another rampage?

At the very end of the movie it seemed like perhaps his power was contained

But was it?

I have my doubts

I have my doubts that Electro's power can be contained O.O

They're Loving It

You should check out the Poison Ivy ongoing, Croc is getting some good writing in that :D

I just love scenes of villains chilling out and acting like normal people.

Croc seems to have mostly gone back to "physically powerful, not book smart, but clever in the right circumstances" thankfully, after some time as a knock-off Lizard. He was amazing in Gotham City Monsters, even if that status quo was almost immediately snatched from him.

But you know here Waylon and Pam are just rolling their eyes at Eddie. "Geezus, Eddie, do you have to always be on?!"

Croc actually is in fact book-smart as well :D

Okay, not gonna lie, Jason and Croc being friends is kinda weird, given Croc killed Jason’s parents in Pre-Crisis continuity.

But also, this is adorbs.

I mean that part of Jason's origin is firmly non-canon at this point, so I'll allow it

Remember the five D's of Deadpool

Dodge

Duck

Dip

Dive

And dodge

Five D's? 👀

For once I wasn't making a sex pun XD

To paraphrase one Remus Sanders: "I LOVE being given five D's at ONCE" :D

Wish that were me

I WONDER WHAT U MEAN

I'll keep this vague and safe for work

I mean I wanna be violently stuffed in every orifice

I mean this would be safe for work for some of my friends, sure

But some of my friends are sex workers so safe for work is a very flexible term here

The guy who is the stereotypical example of a hacky stand-up when people want to do an impression complains about how time's have passed him by.

Passing by being another thing he should have done instead of dating a 17 year old when he was 38.

'Whenever a comedian complains 'nobody laughs at my jokes anymore, because....' the only part I hear is 'Nobody laughs at my jokes''

Elaine carried Seinfeld and we know it

And why is it always the comedians

Elaine's actress also seems to be the only one of the cast who got why Seinfield worked

“Well, you know, define respect is the first thing I’d say. It’s not that I don’t feel as if I am not respectful in the work that I do,” she says. “I actually think the opposite, you know what I mean? We’re making a satirical show about political culture. And right now extreme times call for extreme comedy. It may seem strange to say, but I think that we are all playing horrendous people on this show. So it’s not like we’re advocating for these behaviors. In fact, quite the opposite. You’re laughing at these heinous people.”

Which is also why plenty of dark comedy shows, such as Its Always Sunny...a show so obviously inspired by Seinfield they actually poked fun at themselves for how much their show copied it's 'Self absorbed idiots getting involved in shaggy dog stories' approach to its episodes plots....are in fact still going strong

The only 'comedy' that has been destroyed by 'political correctness' is stand up comedians who think that standing on a stage for two hours and insulting minorities is the same thing as comedy

And like

I'm perfectly fine with that kind of comedy dying off like polio, Superwholock gifsets and other things best left in the past

There is something innately pathetic about comedians complaining that people don't find them funny. Entitled much?

Right?

Like

Your now owed laughs

Applause isn't a human right

If no one laughs at your jokes, maybe you just fucking suck as a comedian dude

365 Marvel Villain paper cut-outs - one villain, every day, all year.

May 1st - The Prowler

Hobie Brown had been a young man exceptionally gifted in the field of engineering and design and yet no opportunities were afforded to him and the only work he could find was as a window washer for the tall skyscrapers of Manhattan.  Unjustly fired, he decided to use his skills and ingenuity to become a costumed criminal.  He built a specialized outfit the enabled him to adhere to walls, glide and fire grappling cables… venturing out as ‘The Prowler.’  An early caper saw him trying to steal the payroll from the Daily Bugle which led to his being confronted by Spider-Man.  Spidey managed to convince Hobie to give up his life of crime and since then The Prowler has acted as a frequent ally to Spider-man.  In the Ultimate Universe, The Prowler is Miles Morales’ uncle, Aaron Davis.  The Aaron Davis version of The Prowler makes a brief cameo in the movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, portrayed by actor Donald Glover; and is a central character in the animated feature, Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse, where he is voiced by actor Mahershala Ali.  The Prowler fist appeared in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #78.

I'm really glad that the Hobie Brown and Aaron Davis versions of the Prowler have now met in the comics :D
