The Finger Fucking Female Fury

@thefingerfuckingfemalefury / thefingerfuckingfemalefury.tumblr.com

A magical half unicorn bisexual blogs, rants, rambles and reviews about comics, cartoons and anything shiny that catches her attention "a smol gay gremlin that has her grubby little mitts all over the gay and silly side of Tumblr" - Brooke :D
On the most recent episode of her MSNBC show, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki devoted a segment to exposing the right-wing extremist agenda of the anti-LGBTQ+ organization Moms for Liberty. Anyone who has been paying attention to the frequent chaos and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric at school board meetings nationwide and efforts to ban books by and about LGBTQ+ people and people of color, you’re already well aware of what Moms for Liberty stands for. But as Psaki noted on the July 16 episode of Inside with Jen Psaki, the organization claims to be non-partisan. That, along with the group’s misleading and innocuous-sounding name, has left many people confused about Moms for Liberty’s agenda — even after they themselves get involved with the group. “Moms: great, sounds good. Liberty: awesome, who doesn’t like liberty? ‘Moms for Liberty.’ As the mom of two young kids, that even sounds good to me,” Psaki said. “But it’s vague enough, that even some of its own members are pretty unclear as to what the group is really all about, what they’re a part of.” “Well, I’m here to help,” she continued. “Because as benign as Moms for Liberty may sound, its agenda is unmistakably extreme.” [...]
She also noted early in the segment that the group recently hosted five Republican presidential candidates, including Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, at its annual summit in Philadelphia. “So, below the surface of their friendly-sounding name, and politically vague taglines,” Psaki concluded, “they’re an unapologetically extreme organization that has built a long record of harassment and controversy, in a pretty short period of time.”

On the latest edition of her Sunday MSNBC show Inside With Jen Psaki, the host exposes the façade of right-wing extremist "parental rights" group Moms For Liberty bluntly well.

Moms For Liberty initially focused on opposing COVID mitigations, but sensing that well would dry up eventually, the group pivoted to anti-LGBTQ+ extremism, book banning, and wailing about the nonexistent dangers of "CRT" and SEL in schools.

Cunts for Idiocy as I like to call this pathetic gathering of Karen pieces of shit is an example of how there is some equality in the Republican party

In that Republican women are every bit the repulsive, nauseating, moronic garbage that Republican men are. Right wing trash of both genders are equally WORTHLESS and without any value or intelligence

House Republicans on Wednesday advanced an appropriations bill for federal environmental agencies that would boost development of the same fossil fuels driving the myriad disasters that have ravaged the Northern Hemisphere this year.

The legislation includes sweeping funding cuts for the Environmental Protection Agency, the Interior Department and the White House’s Council of Environmental Quality. It would mandate numerous additional oil and gas lease sales, both on- and offshore, and would advance mining development, including in an area near Minnesota’s iconic Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness where the Biden administration has banned such extraction.

The legislation would also torpedo and stonewall protections for wild animals, and would rescind more than $9 billion provided by the Inflation Reduction Act, President Joe Biden’s signature climate law that Democrats passed last year.

I adore Two so much <3

That eighth gif there is even more heartwarming in context also <3

Where can you watch early Doctor Who? I imagine a lot of it is lost media, but is the rest on Netflix or available on DVD?

Good news!

Most of Classic Who is on Amazon Prime including some of the missing stories that have had their lost episodes re-created using the audio and new animated footage :D

And is also available on DVD both invididually and as season box sets :D

A M A Z I N G

It’s a great show, though on until September or so sadly.

I hope someone puts it up on Youtube <3

Ah, that might be tricky ‘cause it’s an immersive theatre production. :)

It’s essentially based in two interconnected warehouses in Woolwich, where depending on where you are and at what time you can end up with multiple different viewing experiences each time you go, with the options being to follow a particular character or storyline or just kinda wander and see what kinds of interesting things you can see happen.

It’s neat!

The production company, Punchdrunk, also have another production in New York (Sleep No More) that I managed to see a few years back, that was fun also (but based on MacBeth rather than the Trojan War like Burnt City is).

Ahhhhhh okay

Well I hope everyone who gets to be part of it has an awesome time :)

Now, I can see where Tony is coming from. Especially in relation to the US Government having access to his tech could only end in bloody disaster. Now, he inevitably goes too far and gets paranoid, attacking people like Stingray who never needed his tech in the first place and wouldn't have misused it if they had. But, baseline, I see his point.

This story was the first example of “Tony decides to deal with a situtation that could have been handled with a conversation by trying to beat up all his friends”

IT WOULD NOT BE THE LAST

It's not like the Avengers WOULDN'T help him gank the government if he got some evidence together and laid it all out on the table. He just uhh...didn't do that.

Tony: I have to stop my tech being misused!

Gotta take down the Beetle, the Controller, the Crimson Dynamo.....

Avengers: Seems fair those are all villains

Tony: Also the Guardsmen

Avengers: I mean okay sure they’re not really doing anything evil right now but its understandable to be worried about the misuse of your tech by the prison industrial complex

Tony: And Stingray

Avengers: Isn’t he a part time superhero and a full time oceanographer?

Tony: I can’t have some MADMAN out there studying fish with something I created

Avengers: Tony maybe your taking this too far

Tony: I CAN’T LET THIS ESSSCAAALLAAATTTEEEEEEE!

Didn’t it also turn out stingray didn’t even use stark tech?

Of course he didn't. Stingray's suit wasn't even invented for combat, he became a superhero basically on accident. Stingray's suit was invented BY Stingray and was designed to be the ultimate oceanography tool, allowing him to move through the water and fly above the water's surface for long periods of time, super strength and agility to lift rubble/boulders and move through tangled reefs and cave systems take heavy amounts of data and with stingers in the suit's gloves to dissuade things like sharks or killer whales from getting too close. Dr. Walter Newell just REALLY wanted to be the best oceanographer the world had ever seen and put everything into the suit he could ever think to need. It just so happened that he got tangled up in Namor's stupid temper tantrum (one of them, at least) and is too nice of a guy to say no when he sees people in trouble. Like @thefingerfuckingfemalefury said, his superheroism is STRICTLY part time and mostly circumstantial. He spends most of his time revolutionizing his chosen science and winning more awards to put on his wall while he studies...I dunno. Kelp, or something.

I’m wondering if the suit uses any stark patented technology in its design or not, like maybe it uses a start power source or propulsion system,

Even if it did that doesn’t excuse stark outright attacking him, but if it DOESN’T use any stark tech it makes tony even dumber

Not an ounce. He designed it himself, mostly using the kind of off the shelf parts that a Oceanographer can afford (Tony is mostly an industrial supplier. His tech is EXPENSIVE and usually comes in bulk) The Stingray suit is a marvel of modern technology, no doubt about it, in a more normal world it would be enough to win a Nobel or whatever the equivalent Oceanography prize is but it is JUST a scientific instrument at the end of the day. Tony tried using one of his little scramblers on it and it fizzled. There is not a single component in that suit with Tony's name on it.

Part of me thinks it would be neat for Marvel to bring him back as an enviromentally focused hero but part of me also worries we’d get a repeat of X-men Green O.O

...Why are you doing this? Of all the things you could have found for Aquagirl (a character who is already deeply underutilized) to DO on this team. You made her "the other woman" trying to tempt Jaime of all people? What is your intention? To make her come off as a bitch WHILE overcomplicating one of the sweetest young love stories in comics?

Everything about this subplot is so much “NO JUST PLEASE NO”

Everything about this era trying to drag Jaime down into this era's vibe makes me want to grab my perfect lil boy and RUN

“DO NOT PUT HIM THROUGH THIS NONSENSE”

Me, running full pelt, holding a tiny Jaime over my head as a giant wave of sewage labeled "Edgy" comes up behind us with horror movie chase music in the background

R U N  F A S T E R

S A V E   H I M

This basically sums up my attitude toward politics honestly

“Useful tool” is the nicest phrase I would use to describe anyone that I’ve ever voted for

Also this scene is fuckin HILARIOUS and I adore it so much :D

We need another Black Cat series by Jed MacKay and we need it SOON <3
