The X of Swords storyline is adapted in this X-Men 92: House of XCII comic when the challenge takes place in Polemachus instead of Otherworld. Apocalypse’s chosen fighters battle Arkon and his warriors in Polemachus.
On the downside, this XCII version has the mutants who died in Polemachus would get reborn into rather physically-different selves and who knows that their minds would change too? Maybe they would be stronger and ruthless like the Krakoan mutants who died in Arakko at the mainstream Marvel universe….

Hm, was listening to the Last Podcast on the Left’s recent episode on La Llorona (very good, very thorough) where they go into the cultural and historical context of the myth and its complicated ties to Spain’s colonisation of Central America and such… Which after I was done with the episode made me even MORE annoyed with that show Supernatural’s decision to have their version of La Llorona be some random white American woman when they had her appear.
Admittedly in the LPotL episode they do mention how there are variations on La Llorona in the American Midwest that were brought up by Mexican migrants coming to work in the steel mills and such (where it was combined with the Phantom Hitchhiker ghost type), but I think that it says a lot that Supernatural decided to use a whitewashed version of that variant instead of the more famous one.
