The Daily Guinea Pig

@thedailyguineapig / thedailyguineapig.com

For anyone who cares #TheAdventuresofAandJ, my baby Jarppi is okay after giving me the scare of my life after work last night (major head tilting and balance loss). Hes doing okay minus hating his medications, poor guy.

Funny how a small ear infection can throw him off entirely.

But his brother Artyom was the best moral support ever throughout the vet visit.

Once shifts start becoming more scarce, I’ll be updating a helluva lot more (ye girl got on to a casual health care aide job). Thanks guys

Much love

Somewhere over the rainbow. 🌈🌈🌈

Faith gave birth to a Peruvian Baby on Saturday September 2nd. A cute little baby boy. Mom and son both doing very well.

More updates on this little family soon.

Welcome to the world little one. 💙

Queenie crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon. She went from eating treats in the morning to not moving and refusing treats/water within a couple of hours. She went soon after that so at least it was quick. She was such a sweet, gentle piggy.

Admin note:

Just writing to say I’m sorry The Daily Guinea Pig hasn’t been very “daily”. I recently got a new job which has been more hours and way more stress. The increased hours caused me to develop tennis elbow (I work on the computer). Also, both my piggies have been experiencing health issues (seen here hanging out in the smallest portion of their outdoor pen). Frannie (orange and white) had a minor skin infection which is thankfully almost gone. Queenie is a senior piggy, about 7+ years old and I’ve had her for 5 of those years. The vet told me she has ovary cysts which are causing her belly to swell while she is actually losing weight. The vet said at her age it’s not worth the risk for surgery. She’s not experiencing pain since she still has an appetite but it’s already gotten worse since last week. Right now I have to bathe her bum every other day due to a discharge and finish giving her an antibiotic even though it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I think I’m going to be saying goodbye to her very soon and it hurts. I also think finding and posting piggy pics now hurts too. I hope to resume regular activity soon.

Thank you all for following andy appreciating these sweet creatures with me.
