Ukobach

Ukobach is a Demon from the inferior orders of Hell. Ukobach is one of those who Stoke the flames and carries the hot coals to torture the damned. Beelzebub gave Ukobach charge over the burning oils of the infernal boilers.

If successfully summoned Ukobach will appear with his body wrapped in flames.

Hello! Hope you're well. Just found your blog and it's got me wondering, do you support your work-out habits with magic in any way? This is something I'm interested in, but I haven't begun to research yet. Personally I'm especially interested in magic for motivation (energy, determination), building muscle, lung capacity/endurance, and for joint support. You seem like you might be a good person to ask. Thank you!

Hi! Yes I do utilize my practice in my workouts. Some things I’ve been doing lately:

Having a really fire+Mars/Sun heavy tea with ginger, cinnamon, and ginseng. This really helps with energy, circulation, and motivation. I also keep ginger chews with me for heavy lifts.

For cardio I’ll bring mints or peppermint gum because they’re airy and help with breathing.

When I’m about to lift heavy I say a prayer and dedicate it to a spirit I work with so I don’t fail.

On heavy weight days I paint my nails. I have a nail polish that’s made from iron ore (ruled by Mars). And sometimes I’ll wear an iron pendant a friend made me.

Sometimes I’ll wear pearl earrings when doing cardio because pearl calms thoughts and helps me with the intrusive thoughts/thoughts about how I’m tired.

I blessed my inhaler.

I have protection sticker sigils (the ones I was selling on Etsy) on my water bottle to help me feel safe and protect me from negative interactions at the gym/evil eye.

I carry a sigil I made for strength and form that I wrote on an ace of clubs (which is a fire energy card and sometimes used as the Strength). It also has a strengthening Bible verse.

And then there’s the mundane that you shouldn’t skip: eat before you workout (30 min before is best) but if you can’t- then drink something with calories, drink enough water, get enough protein throughout the day, carbs are essential after lifting weights, and getting enough sleep is one of the most important things you can do. Working out is both an art of improving AND healing. Too many people try to tear apart their body without healing it after.

Young Kalash women perform a purification dance after going through menstruation. These rites must be performed after menstruation or childbirth. Chitral district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

Oh, so the Catholic Church can commit theophagy every Sunday for two thousand years and that's fine, but as soon as I decide to try a little theophagy of my own everybody freaks out. I see how it is.

You know what just to go back to my ramble about talismans and stuff:

You definitely don't need the most expensive hard to find/handle things. You don't need liquid mercury to work with mercury, or a solid gold bar to work with the sun, etc.

At the same time, some of the planetary metals are actually not that hard to come by. Copper and tin will not break the bank like gold might. And for mercury Brass is pretty great, because it's an alloy, and mercury rules things of mixed natures. Aluminium can also be used for mercury because it's light and for that reason often used in building aviation stuff. And like if you can swing Silver but not gold, silver as the metal of the moon is going to be suitable for most planets really (because the moon collects the rays of the planets).

I think Picatrix even suggests glass although i may have made that up.

And if metals are too hard and you want to go for more than just paper and cardstock, you can infuse the paper with a herbal tea of sympathetic plants like John Michael Greer suggests in his geomancy book, or you can fashion them out of wax, carve them from wood, etc.

if I could be so rude as to interject and ramble on this  very good post -

(you tripped my hyperfixation bruh, that’s my trap card)

as for copper - Look at crafts stores, soonish is better than later - We’re apparently about to nose dive into a copper shortage that’s driving the commodity price of copper way, way up, but crafts stores often have stamping blanks and plates of copper, and often on clearance. leveraging coupons for a certain homophobic piece of shit of a craft store, I got about 30$ worth of copper sheet for less than 8$. Also you can chop up bits of old molex cables and get very high purity bits of copper wire that can be integrated into charm bags or wax seals.

I’m also seconding tin - a thing most people don’t know about tin, is that high purity tin is extremely malleable to the degree that it can be cold forged - which is a rare quality in most metals and allows very easy tooling and stamping without much in the way of specialty equipment - literally a hammer and something flat and you can hammer tin nodules into rounds yourself. It also melts at very low temperatures, so if you wanted to fuck around and cast an amulet in tin - it’s very doable. Tin is a little bit on the expensive side, but as metals go, it’s extremely forgiving and easy to work with.

Also gotta go in for BISMUTH. look at bismuth and tell me she aint mercurial. Granted, it’s extremely brittle in its pure form, but it melts at around 400ish degrees F, so an adventurous witch could absolutely make an alloy of bismuth and tin and have a pretty damn nice material for a jobhunting amulet, just right there.

also gonna second aluminum for mercury for the sheer fact that it’s ubiquitous and relatively newly leveraged. it’s also still quite affordable, and easily etched with ferric chloride (but do research this before making an attempt as it can react VIOLENTLY if fully submerged) and is soft enough to stamp or engrave easily, and again - is pretty cheap, as metals go. I recently got ahold of something like 200 aluminum rings for like 6$ from ebay, and you can bet your ass a few of them are getting the ole razzle dazzle to be reborn to serve as mercurial talismans  (despite the fact I actually bought them to cut up, reshape, and wear in my hair) I could also see them put to use as is for contract charms - rings symbolizing oaths and mercury supporting communication. these things can usually also be found in coin machines outside supermarkets.

For saturn I’m gonna be unpopular and elect pewter - it’s an alloy of mostly copper but is very heavy, sometimes contains small amounts of lead, (when not lead-free) and is often used today as a direct substitute for lead in applications where leads physical properties, but not it’s toxicity, is desired. (as is a much cheaper alternative referred to generally as “Lead Free White Casting Metal which appears to be mostly a tin/copper alloy augmented with various other things)

(though if I were casting a defixione or something i’d straight up just use lead for the sheer fact that it does sometimes result in adverse health affects after frequent repeated exposure and if were trying to curse somebody.... why the fuck not...just don’t fucking lick it.)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: having a very effective curse in your arsenal of Woo is important. Curses are justice for the marginalised, because a court is designed by the oppressor to control the oppressed, and when it DOES actually give the oppressed justice, it will change the laws.

A curse is for a victim whose abuser will never see justice, for the sex worker who can’t go to the police, for the marginalised, and the forgotten. A curse is handy, often needed and almost always necessary. Petty curse-flinging is one thing, but the deep, bleeding, gaping wound type of trauma? That needs a curse and I will curse the shit out of a fool when it’s warranted.

No one gets to tell an injured party if the curse is morally just. Victims of unjust life experiences don’t need your validation or your preaching. If you think you’re above using curses - well done, it means you’ve yet to be in a situation to require one. Say a prayer to whatever privilege and Powers That Be have averted this for you….because it’s rarer to not need a curse.

I don’t love and light, I don’t bless and forget. If someone was put in my path and I see the behaviour, I’ve learned it’s been brought to my attention so I can see justice done. Oya is one of my primary Powers That Be - She is a storm of a deity, but she is also the ruler of the court room and the Patroness of women’s anger when it is rightfully stirred. Hell hath no damn fury if I can see a curse is required.

And what is a curse, after all? People focus too much on the end result - wishing buboes or death upon a person; gasp, how uncivilised! But a curse is simply this: it is calling upon Powers That Be for the target to face the repercussions of their actions. I have put that forward to many anti-curse/love’n’light Woo workers in the past - that a curse is merely calling upon the universal truths of right and wrong; Ma’at, Karma, whatever. It is foolishness to think these things do not exist outside ourselves. Everyone is taught what is right or wrong. Ignoring right and wrong is a choice. I don’t give a damn why an arsehole acts like an arsehole - they’ve had their whole damn lives to be around non-arseholes and do the work to not be arseholes themselves. It can’t be explained away by ‘mental illness’ or ‘bad parenting’. They’re an arsehole. And they need a good kick in the teeth.

I’ve been bullied my entire life - I have run the gamut between Being the Better Person to being so depressed and off balance I’m not sure how I survived. It didn’t stop the abusers and jerks. The ONLY thing I ever found that stopped a bully was hauling back and punching them in the face. The only thing: hurt them back, harder. A bully likes a victim. They don’t know what to do when the victim fights back.

A curse doesn’t need to be to death - honestly, imo the target learned nothing from dying. My curses are inbuilt to increase with bullshit behaviour. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If the target continues to act up, the curse gets progressively worse. Their own actions feed the working. If they get a change of heart, then the curse is nullified. In this way, I have only needed to curse someone once. If they never learn, their life falls apart - that’s on them. If they do? Then well done, they win a pass to being a basic human, and the curse is null. See? It’s not that big of a deal - it puts the behaviour and the repercussions strictly in the court of the target. All I’ve done is set the framework.

And so, I curse when needed, when necessary, with my full heart and soul. I only need to do it once, but I’ll absolutely do it if necessary. If you needed permission to curse someone who is making your life a hell, this is it: do the thing. Reclaim your power, and then I hope you can finally live your life in peace.
