IMPORTANT: I AM NOT CONSISTANT (sadly)

It's finally starting to look like something :')

can i just say how much i adore how Nao-chan's gender is treated so casually in skip to loafer

like, as a white cis woman who is also quite tall and havent read the manga i didnt even realize she was trans until this scene in ep2:

and i didnt even have the time to get nervous how they would handle this as they already moved on, ignoring the comments (just like queer people learn to do so) except for Mitsumi's comforting touch (implying she also heard the comments):

and there were no sad words or anything about this either, it was just handled so.... normally. which should not be something worth highlighting, but, well, you know. also on that note, special shoutout to P.A. Works for casting a woman as her voice actor as well.

she's shown being the supportive and lively aunt and like seconds later in this scene she's back to being her usual self again:

in conclusion

I was tagged by the kind @callibrarian to share 5 songs I'm currently listening to.

Melody Calling by The Vaccines

There was a day on which I only listened to this song. Only this one, nothing else.

The Beginning by Alisa Okehazama

I'm getting myself hyped for the new season of Jujutsu Kaisen by listening to the amazing music by (mostly) Alisa Okehazama. This song is one of the most emotional of the soundtrack and it takes my breath away everytime I listen to it.

Orphée Suite: VI. Orphée's Return by Phillip Glass and Paul Barnes

This classical piece is one of the most beautiful piano pieces I have ever heard. It makes time stop and let you appreciate the little things. It's not dramatic (which I usually listen to when it comes to piano) but tender and soft.

I Would Die For You by In This Moment

*John Wick obsession continues*

LIMBO (Korean Version) by JUN

I don't know what this song is about but somehow, I would like to see a movie inspired by it.

04/04/23 - Tuesday

It's been a busy few weeks. I kind of messed up the test week, because I procastinated. Most of my projects went well tho. Only my arthistory project is a bit of a problem cuz I need to hand it in tomorrow and I am far from done.

Have been reading books as well. It's quite chaotic, cuz I'm currently reading eight. I also watched the new John Wick movie twice now and I'm thinking of reviewing the whole franchise but I don't know in what format, but I'll see.

Anoter thing I'm excited about is replaying Detoit: Become Human with my friends. They have never played it before so I get to watch their reaction. If you don't know the game, it's basically a story based playthrough and you get to make choices that influence how the story develops. Everyone gets because of that their own story and a different ending (that's one of the reasons why I'm playing it with my friends). It's a beautiful game about the future, technology, family and humanity so it's definitely a recommendation.

An Introvert's Guide to Winning

If you are like me who is an INTJ-T is seems like the world is not your oyster. in fact, the idea that fortune favors the brave still makes you ponder. Does that mean that if I am not brave enough, I won't be fortunate? Now imagine being an introvert who is also shy. Here are ways to win as an introvert.

  1. Take advantage of your introversion and be a great observer. As someone who grew up shy and introverted it was hard to see my friends winning. Most introverts stay away from large crowds, they prefer smaller intimate settings and if they are socially awkward it's harder. So here is what I do, I go to a large crowd and watch people, I look at everyones body language, I walk around like I am looking for someone then I pause in awe of how good looking many of them are and how lucky I am. Then I approach the people who look shy or do not have anyone to talk to and I begin asking them questions and find similarities. Being an introvert means you spend more time in your thoughts but what are you thinking? Think in awe and approach a person based on that. It is not about how many people you can talk to but the quality of conversations you have. often times you become lit because you have found someone who thinks just like you and that makes other people want to pitch into that fun conversation that you have.
  2. Fine tune your body language and style: So, you are invited to your bosses birthday and you have turned down many outings but you don't want to disappoint your boss by not going. So, you decide to show up. But how do you show up? You will show up looking your best, put your best foot forward and radiate the energy that is within you. Often times other people will gravitate towards you or the host might introduce you to other people.
  3. Take the road less traveled: If you are afraid of not having a talking partner, look for other guests who do not have talking partners or look shy. They are easier to approach, so engage them by asking open ended question, show interest, and make them feel very comfortable around you. This has happened to me several times. I would go to an event and be on the lookout for the oldest person in the room that is often ignored or that person that is by the corner in the dark and illuminate their minds with my quiet extraversion.
  4. Be a great storyteller: I do not speak loudly or know everyone in an area. I get tired quickly when I am out and about so I try to give a great story about myself or a random thing that I saw in the mst imaginative, enticing, and romantic way possible. Making the listener feel special about the conversation.
  5. Bring the best in you: Being great at what you do will make people speak of you in rooms you never dreamed of getting into. I was recently introduced to the European Union Deputy General of Trade by my Negotiations professor because he considered me one of his brightest students and gave me an invite to the conference the diplomat attended (I was the only student in the room).
  6. Capitalize on 1 on 1s: See opportunities to be alone with someones as a time for you to shine. During interviews be elated that this person has chosen to spend time getting to know only you. So this is your time to show off the personality that you have been hiding from the world.

What is your Hogwarts house

I did the Pottermore test and got Hufflepuf. But I also took a lot of random quizzes. Most of the results of those were Slytherin, which probably explains my love for green.

16/03/23 - Thursday

Tomorrow I have to hand in my philosophy essay, write an argumentative letter to a filmdirector for Dutch and make a English knowledge test. Wish me luck.
