First off, lmao. Love your insults, great way to start the conversation (sarcasm). I mean I won’t say I was nice, but I never insulted you. Insults really don’t help your case. Also ace discourse has only gotten worse bc of the homophobic, and transphobic things coming from the ace community specifically from places that are supposed to be the information highway on ace issues (AVEN).
Secondly, It’s the lgbt community not the q-slur community. Just because you can and have reclaimed the slur doesn’t mean everyone has, and it doesn’t mean everyone is okay with you saying the slur around them and it ESPECIALLY doesn’t mean people appreciate you calling them or their community a slur.
Thirdly and no one should have to explain this to you, but the lgbt community isn’t a cute little club, it’s a human rights movement. The first pride was a riot, and the lgbt community is only for Lesbians, Gays, Bi’s and/or Trans folk. That’s what the acronym stands for, lesbian, gay, bi and trans.
Aces & Aro’s can be cishet, and thus not LGBT.
Also the whole “the lgbt community is for people who are rejected by cishets for dumb reasons” would include kinky people, people who like pineapple on their pizza, people who are celibate, people who are hyper-sexual due to trauma, people who are polyamerous, people who like the color yellow, people who don’t like popular music, goths punks, emos, atheists, and more, since you mentioned nothing about WHY those people would get rejected, if it has to be related to their gender or sexuality, or if it needs to be a majority rejection or just some, only that they are being rejected.
Being rejected by cishets would mean many, MANY, other cishet people would now be lgbt. Most people I know who are 100% cishet would be considered LGBT.
Stop watering down the meaning of being LGBT. It’s really not that hard, at all, to understand who is and who isn’t lgbt. Do they experience same gender attraction, and or are they trans, yes to either, means they are LGBT. No to both, not lgbt.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
