In the grand scheme of the episode’s story arc; nothing happened and yet a lot happened all at once. They are starting to slowly lay the groundwork for the moment Teddy tells Owen, and therefore also Amelia, about the baby.

Ben and Bailey

Admittedly, i was/am very and yet not very surprised by this all at once. They can’t break up Ben and Bailey, that’s a no. It’s also just stupid. Ben and Bailey are the dream, Jo is right. Including the number of times Bailey has said “Ben Warren” in that you in trouble tone, they are still THE couple. They are the couple to admire, they are strong, they don’t break. They are not held together with tape and glue. (See what I did there?) 

Maggie and Jackson

I am starting to think that Jaggie will have broken up by the end of the season and Maggie will begin dating someone from Station 19. Not sure who yet, but someone. 

Had my boyfriend had just left without a goodbye I would be pissed! Maggie’s right in understanding he needs some time to figure thinks out and find himself but the way Jackson’s behaved is nothing more than disrespectful. He’s acting as though he can go and do anything, and Maggie will always be there to welcome him home with open arms.

Finally, Jackson’s apology was pretty pathetic. He tried to distract her with dinner and kisses and most probably sex. Maggie can’t be bought off. She is to pure of a person to allow Jackson to treat her like that and I think after her conversation with Cece she is starting to think so too. Only time will tell though. 

Bets on how long they will last? I’m placing mine at no longer than the end of Season 15.

The Karevs and Link

I knew they were going to have Alex brooding for a while after the link (pardon the pun, but it was too easy) between Link and Jo (Brooke) was made. It’s a typical Alex response, it always has been. What showed true character development though, and a side to Alex which has always been there and I think is forgotten far too often: he wasn’t jealous. He wasn’t even thinking about himself. He was thinking about Jo. About Paul. The entire time he was short towards Link it was because he was around during the worst time in his wife’s life, and he didn’t do anything about it. 

The old Alex may have punched him without talking about it first, but I think Alex being honest with why he was being shirt with Link showed that although he may not be the guy’s biggest fan, he knows he means something to Jo and doesn’t want to nor will he do anything to jeopardise that. 

Teddy and Meredith

I honestly don’t understand why they involved Meredith. She doesn’t need to be involved, but I’m not angry that she is.

Meredith, this entire episode, was kind, compassionate, understanding, reasonable and logical; I can’t fault her. She was kind to Teddy and yet still defended Owen, Amelia and Maggie when needed. She was a good friend and a good sister today. 

I am 100% in agreement with what @bafy-usy said in one of her anon responses; I don’t even know how to describe Teddy anymore. Also her saying she is in love with Owen isn’t the ‘modern day love triangle’ they have been pitching. She wants Owen, that’s what she wants. But I am grateful she isn’t so naive as to not question whether he would be with her, for her or the just the baby. HERE is everything I have to say on Teddy. 

Considering however that they saw each other in the hospital he didn’t react other than being offended she didn’t tell him she was around, he hasn’t given it a second of thought. Since then his priorities have been Leo, Betty and Amelia. So I think it is pretty obvious who Owen’s heart lies with and I think that will be the big story arc once the baby bomb drops. It will revolve around Owen deciding whether to be with Teddy ‘because it’s the right thing’ or to be involved with the baby but follow his heart. 

Owen and Amelia

This episode was pivotal for them. Their storyline was simple and yet carried so much weight. Krista should be patting herself on the back for how they handled Omelia this episode. 12891347239847234982734 out of 10. It was everything that make Owen and Amelia for me: vulnerable, playful, honest, caring, loving, intimate. 

The premise for their story arc in the episode was fun. They are being protective of Betty - Amelia in extreme ways - but they care and they are building a boat. THEY ARE BUILDING BOATS TOGETHER! 

Hiding out at Betty’s school is extreme to say the least, but their actions are extreme because they care so much. (See what I did there?!) Owen eating Leo’s snacks was adorable, Amelia owning up to her crazy was perfect, Owen saying he liked this new (old for PP fans) side to Amelia everything. It’s all a series of very, very, very good things! 

HIS NAME WAS CHRISTOPHER! HER FATHER’S NAME WAS CHRISTOPHER!

Amelia being so open with Owen about Unicorn Baby, sorry! Christopher, is HUGE! This the biggest step we have seen her take in fully opening up to Owen since (IMO) 13x04. When she opened up to Alex, I thought Alex would be the one to tell Owen but this was worth the wait. This was worth the annoyance and frustration and the numerous times I have almost thrown my laptop across the room mid-episode. 

Christopher will always be her child, she will always love him; nothing can take that away from her or replace it. She is coming to terms with it, it’s taken a lot of time and heartache but her feeling safe enough and accepted by Owen created the environment in which she allowed the words to roll off her tongue with ease. Kudos has to be given to Caterina here though, her acting was outstanding. 

Can we also talk about the non-stop heart eyes they were throwing each other the entire episode?! They are in love, they are so in love. Even if they haven’t placed a label on it, they know what is going on between them. We, all know what is going on between them. They aren’t falling in love again, they are falling in the love with the parts they were always to scared to let the other one see. 

Which leads me onto the shit-show. When Owen eventually finds out about the baby he will be there for Teddy, he can’t not be, it’s Owen. How much time he will spend with her I don’t know, especially considering Leo and Betty need him to be around. Amelia, on the other hand, I think will hold down the fort. She will give him the time and space to figure things out while she will take on most of the time with the kids. I do think it will all culminate with a “Where do I fit in in all of this?” moment from Amelia. I think she will ask him and he will give her an answer. I just hope he follows his heart and figures out how to help Teddy but not sacrifice his own feelings and relationship with Amelia in order to do so. 

Thoughts? How and when will Owen find out? Will Amelia find out first? Will something happen to Teddy and/or the baby? Will Amelia be mad Meredith and Maggie knew before her? Will Jackson and Maggie break-up? Will Schmidt and the new Doc hook up? Will Link reveal anything about Jo’s past? What will happen between Ben and Bailey?
