Northern burger chain @fathippofood have just opened their 2nd London restaurant in Soho. There’s a good mix of burgers on there, chicken and beef, or go mental and get the chicken and beef combo. Overall experience was good, food was tasty, not necessarily matching the beef quality I expect, but burger options I’d go back for, the Born Slippy with braised pork rib meat sounds great. I feel like every pub is a Fullers or a Youngs nowadays, so it’s great to visit a pub where you’ve actually got a different menu to choose from. @thestablehand is a great pub just minutes from Hyde park but on a side road, and they pride themselves on sourcing all their ingredients from the UK or as close as possible. Great to see @coqfighteruk still killing it after all these years! It’s without a doubt the crispiest chicken I’ve had, that batter is on point. They’ve got a great lunch deal running, Monday to Thursday, 12-3pm, burger and fries £10! Get down there and grab some cheesy corn at the same time. @busabaeathai have started doing breakfast and it is AMAZING. Launching in @westfieldlondon & @westfieldstratfordcity and Kingston in June with the other locations to follow soon. Every single dish we had was so good, but the highlight was definitely the chilli beef loaded roti. Prices are really good too! Most dishes were in the £6-8 range. In 6-12 months time when EVERYONE is talk oh so it @milkybunsemporium just remember where you saw them first, yeah? Honestly these sandwiches are INCREDIBLE. I said I’d go back for the chicken, and I did. That touch of crispy chicken skin adds a great texture and saltiness to an already delicious sandwich. This months @honestburgers special is a collab with @tubbytoms, the Texas BBQ burger, blending 2 Tubby Tom’s sauces together, Texas Drip and Fire Candy. I liked it! The sauces gave a nice sweetness and the jalapeño mayo brought a slight buzz to your tongue. Went to Whitstable, mainly for @thelobstershackwhitstable, I say mainly, there’s not much else to do there, sorry Whitstablobians 😅. But it was worth the 4 hour, 200 mile round trip as the weather was banging and the food was great, and I came back with the lovely gift of a sunburn. Vegan food brand @heurafoods who I LOVE have teamed up with @theathenianuk for a Chick’n fillet range! You can get their crispy chicken as a wrap, box or bites, with 16g of protein per fillet. @theathenianuk are now 75% vegan which is crazy!
