Bucket List Wasp alert! I noticed this gorgeous Mope on iNaturalist while looking up ID's for others I've found in the genus, and was really hoping to find this one: Brasema rhadinosa. Today I did! Spotted her moping her way up an old maple. Day made. 💜🖤

This Mope has fully functional wings, and briefly escaped in my house but she's big enough I was able to find her again. True to Mope form though she is much more interested in walking that flying. 😄

(Mope is my own taxonomical description for tiny wasps--many of them in family eupelmidae--long slim things typically found "moping" at a relatively slow pace for wasps, and just generally look mopey and dopey and I love them)
