if you found this via the hidden worlds blog
hello! yes, i am the one who drew that piece of art in 2011, and the one who left a comment on nexpo’s video taking credit for the drawing. i don’t want to share my new url because i do not want to risk harassment from strangers looking for more info on worlds.
the “hidden worlds” blog is filled with misinformation that is written to make the worlds community seem much more nefarious than it actually is. naughty bitz, the jimbly world once containing nude photos submitted by worlds users, was removed BECAUSE the person running ‘hidden worlds’ stalked and revealed the real life identity of a person who shared a photo there. the person who ran ‘hidden worlds’ had no problem endangering people for the sake of making up a ~Spooky Internet Story~ and it is entirely their fault that pieces of worlds.com history are gone forever.
the photos that were once in these worlds were submitted willingly by worlds.com regulars. there is no secret network, there is no conspiracy by jimbly to control/blackmail users with pornography, all of the photos there were submitted with full consent by users and the submission of photos did not have anything to do with entry to a secret group. it was merely meant to be an archival museum of worlds regulars, and worlds regulars’ naked bodies if they so wished to share that with the adult community.
naughty bitz is gone, there is no way to get to it.
here is a transcript of the comment i left on nexpo’s video:
oh hey! i drew the art that was used in the screenshot at 12:12. funnily enough the drawing and screenshot were actually of a user called eloquent, not nexialist. i drew it back in 2011. i appreciate that you shed some light on the effort to convince people that there is no worlds cult, but a lot of the information on the “hidden worlds” blog is biased towards fear-mongering and isn’t very accurate. the “mug shots” were all submitted willingly by regulars of worlds, including the nude ones, and i don’t think they are linked to any sort of “network” or social group aside from “people who have been hanging out on worlds for a while.” the hallway of nude photos was taken down due to, i believe, the exact stalking of the submitter that was detailed in the video & the coverage of it on the hidden worlds blog. if it’s any help to you, jimbly’s servers went down some time in 2013 (if i remember correctly?) and because of that, many of the worlds hosted there are inaccessible and others are missing files.
EDIT: thanks for boosting my comment! i appreciate it. i’d just like to add a request to not harass any of the users named in the video, because similar harassment has caused pre-2010 regulars to stop using the service. people who used to keep the community alive, who helped make it such a strange & interesting place, who had been going on worlds since the 90s and early 2000s, have literally been driven off because of people accusing them of being in a “cult” or just straight-up tormenting them for fun. even people who didn’t mind playing along with the “spooky” stuff have been harassed to the point of leaving. and as stated, it’s why the nude photo world (known as Naughty Bitz) was removed in the first place. stalking users and harassing them will do nothing but make worlds.com a less fun & lively place.
there is no cult on worlds.com. there are only old regulars trying to have fun in peace, and people who are roleplaying as ghosts in the machine to scare others. if you’d like to learn more about worlds, from a less-biased source that actually has contributions from worlds users, look into gradualDIME’s worlds wiki.
by all means, go explore worlds and take a look at a very interesting piece of internet history! there are some truly beautiful sights to behold there. but don’t interrogate the users, don’t accuse them of being a part of something nefarious. if someone is creepy towards you it’s because they are roleplaying and want to get a rise out of you. if you tolerate their weird behavior maybe they’ll show you some cool areas or something! just be kind to each other and respect the fact that worlds, as a place, is more than just some creepypasta online. it is the chosen social network of many people who’ve been there for years.
