Nuzzling or fighting? As someone who peruses the pages of any dinosaur book I can get my hands on, when someone blatantly copies another illustrator, I notice. This is the case with this illustration (pic 1) from a 90s dinosaur book. I instantly knew it was a copy of the brachylophosaurus illustration from 1978's A Natural History of Dinosaurs (pic 2). I always interpreted the original two dinosaurs as affectionately nuzzling, but the copycat illustration describes them as fighting for dominance and even adds dust near their feet to accentuate that interpretation.
