Anyone else got this kind of message on AO3?

As a naturally suspicious person this is screaming SCAM at me and I want to see if anyone else agrees or has experienced this.

I've literally had these word for word on fanfiction.net. I reported and blocked every time. Not had it on AO3 yet, but 100% scammy AF.

Agreed, I've gotten this word for word on FFN, and I suspect a real person hasn't even written this ('strong character developments' and 'showcased the most remarkable writers' 'collaborating with our platform will have endless possibilities' do these feel like AI phrasing to anyone else? They're comprehensible, but don't feel like something a persuasive person would say to other writers).

Notwithstanding anything else, it's massively demoralizing to get a new comment or PM on a fanfiction site, open it up to see that it's multiple paragraphs-- and then find out it's this bullshit. It's like predisposing recipients towards being REALLY unhappy and resentful, IMO.

I got this message today on AO3 as did a few other authors. I realized it was spam right away, but hopefully people who see this will realize that’s all it is.

It is a scam. And they have a really shady contract plus super shady recruitment (it's basically a copy/paste of the above) where they won't tell you anything about the job/pay until you sign the contract and already locked in.

This is a really good thread about how shady/scummy these people are
