The response has been beautiful - like I can’t tell you how many wonderful messages I received from people who are openly queer and people who are not openly queer, which has been really amazing for me to see. I’ve received messages from firefighters who have said, “I’m not out and seeing this means the world to me.” I could never in a million years of expected to be getting those messages, so it’s very humbling and just a really amazing experience for me to get to be a part of that.

buck accidentally flirting with a man for an entire episode then being surprised when he gets kissed. proceeding to go on the entire next episode insisting he's an ally. accidentally coming out to his sister by dropping the wrong pronoun. accidentally coming out to everyone else by kissing his sooty boyfriend and coming into the room with evidence of the crime all over his face. every single step of this storyline has been the most in character it could possibly be.

Moin zusammen! Heute ist ja Speak Your Language Day und zu dem Anlasshabe ich gerade eine sehr nette Umfrage zu Plattdeutsch gesehen - und da ist mir eine eigene Idee zu einer Umfrage gekommen. Nicht unbedingt auf gesprochene Sprache bezogen, sondern auf die geschriebene:
Sütterlin!
Wird ja mittlerweile immer seltener, ne? Vor allem bei jüngeren Leuten. Damit auch allen klar ist, was ich mit Sütterlin meine, ich meine die Sütterlinschrift, auch Kurrent genannt, die früher an deutschen Schulen gelehrt wurde. Ja nach persönlicher Handschrift und Variante, sieht das ungefähr so aus:

Ein paar Zusatzinfos:
- Ich weiß, dass die Altersgruppen sehr ungenau sind, aber ich hab nur begrenzte Optionen für die Umfrage frei. Wenn die Umfrage viele Leute erreicht, mache ich nochmal eine genauere, weil ich das Thema hier tatsächlich interessiert
- Es gibt hier keine Nuancen von wegen "Ich kann's eigentlich nur ein bisschen", einerseits wegen der begrenzten Anzahl an Wahlmöglichkeiten, die Tumblr zulässt, andererseits weil "können" hier im Auge des Betrachters liegt. Meines Erachtens nach kann jeder Sütterlin lesen, der (wenn auch mit Ach und Krach) einen Brief oder Text in Sütterlin lesen kann. Mir egal, wie lange die Person dafür braucht und wie viel sie sich aus dem Kontext erschließen muss. Gelesen ist gelesen.
- Schreibt gerne in die Tags, was ihr gewählt habt und warum ihr Sütterlin könnt, wenn ihr es könnt. Würde mich interessieren <3
