Not Getting Any Younger

Welcome to the Sad Dads Club

Quick Ashe and “Reunion” stuff

I don’t have a ton of time for a fuller analysis right now (need to get to an appointment) but basically:

Yes, according to Ashe’s hero profile, she was a founding member of Deadlock.  According to her Origin Video and the What’s Next panel, Jesse McCree was another founder.

Yes, this would have occurred when they were teenagers.

Yes, it is Ashe’s bike and her picture of the two of them - torn up and then taped back together - from over 20 years ago.

According to her Hero Profile, she is two years older than McCree.

Yes, B.O.B. stands for “Big Omnic Butler”.

No, I do not know when exactly her family “hired” B.O.B., but it would have been after the Omnic Crisis ended in approximately 2050.  She would have been 13 when the war ended.

McCree (and Mercy) were 11 when the war ended.

Yes, they had alternate designs for her.  Specifically for the first one, they were worried that she would “look too much like McCree” (I’m not joking, this was the statement they gave in the panel).  For number 3, they said she looked “too heroic” (again, not joking).

She was made specifically for the “Reunion” short and (again, not joking) they “liked her so much” that they made her a playable hero.

Yes, they almost made B.O.B. the hero (solo) instead.

By the way, Michael Chu legitimately said about two sentences during the entire panel, and this was his expression for 99% of it.

(He was zoning out SO HARD.)

Oh, and they legit said they had to cut her hair because they didn’t want to animate long hair in the short.

I’m guessing this is ALSO what happened to Reinhardt’s “glorious” hair.

This Halloween, I present to you: a new headcanon about Jack Morrison and how much he actually loves Halloween.

(Bonus: Gabe always tries new tricks, so at some point he TOTALLY set up a coffin and jumped out of it, like his highlight intro.)
