May I ask you a question about homebrewing since you seem to know? how would I go about creating a race that is literally just a goldfish.

i think my solution would be to not make that a race, but make a goldfish creature stat block (maybe use a quipper as a base) since itd likely be a cr 0 creature with little to no unique abilities, and just add class features onto that stat block.

this works for more complicated creatures too-- i once let Luci play a wizard that was also an ancient blue dragon and we didnt have like, race stats for that i believe she just tacked class features onto the existing stat block.

also also, you can do this for enemy stat blocks as well! spice up your owlbears by giving them dangersense, give an orc sneak attack, the world is your oyster!

Hi! I am new to your blog, but I had to drop you a note. I like to browse homebrew and I saw a reblog of your Bond Guardian class. I fell in love with it immediately and it is so incredibly inventive and creative! I was knocked off my feet! Incredible 😀

Thank you so much~ it's probably the thing on this blog that took the most time and effort to finish. XD

Wow okay, i had some problems with internet and stuff for a while but i’m back with one of the highest forms of my duality aesthetic. Have fun~

Light and Dark, classic themes. But I have some questions.

Yeah these are kinda old now and a little clunky, mostly made actually for a specific PC i was building a while ago.

SO, has anyone been wondering what i’ve been up to? The answer is this. This is an idea i had over a year ago and have spent i don’t even know how long tuning and coming up with ideas for it.

Given that it IS an entirely new class remember that if you wanna try it, it needs a LOT of playtesting. And if you have constructive criticism or just fun idea suggestions i’d be happy to hear them to perhaps release updated versions or expanded options in the future.

Thank you everyone for following this blog~<3

My two cents under the cut.

Hey, thanks for the feedback~ Like i said a LOT of playtesting a tweaking probably needs to be done for most people. But for your points:

Hey! I just started a new campaign and one of my players wanted to have a half tiefling-tabaxi race. How would I configure that to not be too op? Thanks :)

Generally speaking for most half-tieflings they give up one of their other race’s features for fire resistance and darkvision or something like that. To be honest it's pretty hard to make someone "OP" by race alone so if you just work with combining the traits of tiefling and tabaxi you shouldn't have much issue with it~

commissions open!!!

i’m trying to keep this post as concise as i can, so i’ll only be including a handful of sample art at the end of the post. for the best of my art and past commissions ive taken, check out my portfolio tag!

my general baselines for prices are:

lineart (w/ optional single color):

  • bust: 15$
  • waist-up: 20$
  • full body: 30$

flat colors:

  • bust: 20$
  • waist-up: 30$
  • full body: 50$

full color rendered/painted*:

  • bust: 30$
  • waist-up: 50$
  • full body: 80$

*baseline quote does not account for complicated designs or backgrounds, which may increase prices due to being more time-consuming

i also offer character reference/design sheets for a base price of 100$, with the basic format being a single flat color full body shot of the character, as well as 1-4 miscellaneous reference pieces, such as facial details, weapons, tattoos, etc., with further details and/or shading increasing the price from there. example, done with a fully rendered outfit reference in place of flat colors, and text details for personal use:

additional characters in a single piece generally increase the price by 50%

pieces done primarily on description may cost more if multiple concept sketches need to be made, but i am happy to work off descriptions

complicated poses/lighting/designs/etc may result in increased prices

at the moment, all payments must be made through google pay, but i’m hoping to have paypal and other payment methods set up soon. i require at least half of the quoted price paid up-front, and the rest upon completion.

i will not draw:

  • porn
  • mecha
  • certain backgrounds, subject to my level of confidence. i don’t want to promise something i can’t deliver on.
  • i do reserve the right to deny things not listed here on a case-by-case basis

contact me here on tumblr through DM’s or at feycreatureart@gmail.com

sample art, with theoretical quote prices (all of these were personal art):

(flat-colored bust, 20$)

(painted waist-up, with complicated composition, 80$)

(lineart bust with single color, 15$)

Once again, my commissions are open and I'm always happy to draw rpg characters and parties!

I know this is random or anything but I'm trying to make a class or some sub classes for a couple classes that will make a character become almost a hoursman or a bringer of 1 of the many apocalyptic ends in religion, myth and d&d but I don't know what classes and sub classes that exist I can mash together to make that character or to make said class

if youre going for a sorta spellcasty thing id suggest working with a hexblade or undying warlock, for the spellsword/death magic aspects, or an oathbreaker paladin also for spellsword death magic stuff plus paladins get Find Steed, or maybe some sort of cleric of an unsavory entity with a domain like death or war

or if youre going for more of a melee class id BIG recommend reflavoring/working off of the zealot or storm herald barbarians, or working some more magicky features into the cavalier fighter if youre gonna be doing horseman stuff

a lot of my characters i lightly homebrew variations on existing subclasses for, or just reflavor existing subclasses, because a lot of the time its way easier to find something thats already what you want or close enough to what you want Mechanically than it is to fully synthesize something new. sometimes i pick and choose different subclass features for a frankenstein subclass when just One set of features wont cut it for my idea (with dm permission ofc)

Hey I was wondering if I can get help create an items for a artist character like a pen or something that can change to the right tool and colour at the artist wim

Avatar

i mean all in all you *can* just say “Hey this character has a slightly magic set of artist’s tools that can morph into different forms” and just leave it at that. It’s ultimately up to the DM but to me it seems like it’s a minor enough thing that it shouldn’t matter in terms of balance *and* gives the character some fun flavor. Just recently i played a College of Artistry bard (from one of my previous homebrews) and the DM and i just decided that her shortsword’s handle could double as a magic paintbrush. The only thing that was really magic about it was it never ran out of paint, could change the color of said paint, and could spray paint like a spraypaint can. Given that my character was *all about* art it seemed like just letting her have the opportunity to embrace that without getting caught up in rules was the best option. - Mod Luci

The other stuff i’m working on is taking a long time to work out, so i figured i’d finally throw this idea together in the meantime. After playing Kingdom Hearts 3 when it came out i knew i absolutely NEEDED to port over zettaflare. (Also yes i’m using -za instead of -ja or -gun because that’s what i’m used to)

How do you feel about disabled PCs? My newest character, a tiefling pheonix sorcerer, uses her quarterstaff (which also doubles as her arcane & spellcasting focus) as a walking cane and walks with a heavy limp due to being severely burned as a child on that leg, proof of how she may be resistant to fire but isn't immune. As a result, she takes a point of exhaustion when walking for extended periods of time and her speed is reduced from 30 ft to 25.

oh i love disabled pcs. in one of our groups we have a tiefling sorcerer whos blind and can only cast spells that dont target based on sight. i have an autistic fighter who has -5 to insight on top of their bad wisdom and +5 to checks to know things about their special interests (like dragons, it was a dragon-based campaign). one of our other friends was going to play a mute great old one warlock who could speak telepathically but mostly used sign language and also couldnt cast spells with verbal components. the way ur mechanically implementing the limp seems like it works well and makes sense

also i think ur just. playing me. my name is phoenix, i have a limp.

I am making an Elemental Patron homebrew and I was wondering if I could use your Expanded Elemental spells as part of the spell lists, with credit to you all in both the photo of the brew itself and the description.

Of course! Feel free to. i love when people like and wanna use my ideas~
