Marinette March 2019 Day 3: Tea Time

Marinette had always enjoyed tea. For her, tea was like a warm blanket on a rainy day, or memories of her and her mom when there weren’t customers in the bakery. It was her medicine when she got sick and the drink that she shared with her friends. It was memories of every time she visited her family in China. Marinette loved tea, and every time she drank it, it was magical, but well, she hadn’t actually thought about how magical tea drinking could literally get.
“Marinette, that smells delicious!”
“Thanks Tikki, it’s been a while since I brew some tea.”
“Oh, can I have some too?” She accompanied her sentence with some particularly sparkling eyes.
“Sure thing Tikki, we just need to wait for it to be done.” She let out a small giggle. “No need to be so eager.”
They shared another laugh and when the tea was ready they put together a tray together with cups, the tea, and some cookies to take it upstairs. Marinette almost tripped more than once on the stairs, but with slow steps and cheering from Tikki the whole tray made it to the balcony in one piece.
“Oh Tikki, isn’t this amazing?” She started to pour herself a cup of tea. “The weather today is just right.” She poured Tikki a smaller cup of tea. “Oh, I’ll go get my phone so I can take some pictures of the sky.” She set the kettle down with a smile.
“And of our beautiful layout too.”
“Oh yes, definitely, don’t go anywhere while I’m gone!” She said with a cheery tone.
“Okay, but be quick, you don’t want the tea to get cold!”
“Yeah! Got it!”
