To those of you who are not out, I’m proud of you for staying strong against any adversity you face.

To those of you who are out, I’m proud of you for being unapologetically you.

To those of you still figuring out who you are, or where you fit, I’m proud of you for being patient with yourself.

To those of you who have figured out who you are, but are unsure of the labels you have given yourself, I’m proud of you for understanding that things change, and being okay with changing them.

To those of you fighting for equality publicly, loudly, crying out at protests, I am proud of you for standing up for what you believe.

To those of you fighting for equality online, sending hundreds of thousands of emails, calling legislators, creating empowering art and design, I’m proud of you for using your talents to create something beautiful in our internet spaces.

To those of you who are allies, supporting your friends and loved ones - Thank you, for not turning your backs on us. Please continue to do so, to use your voice to push theirs to the forefront, creating a safer world for all of us.

Even if you are not quite sure, if you are questioning or afraid. I am proud of you. Be proud of yourself, even if someone doesn’t agree or tries to tell you otherwise - you are the only one who gets to say what your identity is.
