The creature under your bed

@the-creature-under-your-bed

In desperate need of physical touch (and a few diagnosises)

Why does Spotify think that when I go to play an album I want to listen to related songs? I played the album to listen to the fucking album.

i love how whenever something gets popular the underground tormented avant garde bloggers start becoming self conscious of liking it/finding it funny, and it eventually evolves into aggression towards it. doesnt matter what it is. unrelated but i saw someone call isopods cringe today

This is the most important post on this site

It's very telling how the Barbie movie is being accused of hating men when the movie treats men exactly the way most movies treat women: In Barbie, the men are treated as obstacles and side characters in the story of the female protagonist who the audience is expected to relate to. There's even several scenes where the men are clearly positioned to be eye candy. Put on your typical Indiana Jones or Bond movie and you'll see the exact same in reverse but men aren't used to it happening to them. I enjoyed the eyecandy scenes greatly btw

extremely spicy spider encounter

okay now that im off work i need to talk up this insane spider.

NOT ONLY is she the biggest black widow ive ever seen, NOT ONLY did she survive hours, possibly days inside a robot plasma cutter (A DEVICE FOR CUTTING APART BIGHUGE I-BEAMS VIA HELL MAGIC), not only did she survive several rounds of me flinging the sharp heavy scraps in the hopper all over the place as i jumped in and out, but she managed to get picked up, alive and well, by the one single man in this factory who would see a black widow spider threateningly wave her legs while perched extremely close to a split in his work glove, the one guy who would go 'ah! that's a gigantic venomous spider!' and gently set her down to take glamour shots.

after that insane run of absolutely baffling good luck, i figured god clearly liked her more than anyone else i have ever met so i delicately carried this holy saint of a spider out to the bushes where, let's all pray, she concludes her business here on earth without any more human intervention.

anyway shout out to this miracle spider, divine incarnation of getting lucky.

Can we just… normalize teens loving their parents? Like obviously you’re not obligated to if your parents are shitty, but damn, I love my mom. She’s there for me all the time and sure we have rough patches but honestly she’s the greatest. Like. We need teens to know that they don’t have to hate their parents just cause.

It must be nice to come from a nonabusive family. One that doesn’t traumatized every emotional interaction to the point where you drive away any sign of love as a form of manipulation because that’s all that you were raised with. 🤷‍♀️

It is.

Reading Comprehension

but loving ur parents is already normalized and its the kids w/ abusive parents that actually have to deal with misunderstandings and ignorance from others regarding this topic.

Hey there, I’m talking about the trope where it’s seen as super uncool to like your parents that was literally pushed on teens through the media since the culture shift in the early 60s. The post has nothing to do with abusive parents. I was abused as a kid and honestly if the trope where teens have to hate their parents to be cool died, then kids with actual abusive parents would have an easier time recognizing abuse this has been a psa

“if the trope where teens have to hate their parents to be cool died, then kids with actual abusive parents would have an easier time recognizing abuse”

Teen with abusive parents: I hate my parents

Teen influenced by society: Me too mine are the worst

The takeaway for teen 1: This is normal and it’s supposed to be this way

The takeaway for teen 2: My friend’s parents are like mine

The takeaway for any adult listening: All kids who complain about their parents are just being rebellious

this is important

hello neil, hope you're well

I just bumped into this on twitter, is it true?

if it's true can you share how was the beginning of this project?

No, it's not true. In 2007 Marvel reached out to me about possibly pitching a Dr Strange film, I talked to Guillermo and we came up with ideas, I reached back out to Marvel who said they had decided it wasn't going to be time for Dr Strange for another 7 or 8 years, and he was too minor a character to do a movie on at that point. There was never a screenplay or anything more than conversations.

Were you disappointed they didn’t reach out again (as far as the fans know) to do any future marvel property?

Not particularly. I've sometimes wished that they'd been able to do a 1602 movie or TV show though.

the gimmick blogs are like tumblr’s rogue gallery. yes we’ve got some heroes, yes we’ve got some villains, but more importantly if you look over here you will see some freak who devotes all their time to counting the number of “t’s” in a post

T Count: 15

Letter Count: 198

Your T Percentage: 7.58%

Average T Percentage: 6.95%

You used the letter T 1.09 times as much as average!
