To me beloved fandom;

A lot of you know me as PhoenixRose314, Tumblr's fandom mom and ineffable author of Don't Fall Away From Me and There Is A Light & It Never Goes Out. This fandom has been such a source of joy for me and has kept me going through some really difficult and dark times, but right now my world is absolutely falling apart.

Through circumstances beyond my control (health reasons - cancer and anxiety and depression), I was let go from my job a few months ago and my children and I can no longer afford to rent our lovely home in our lovely village. This has been incredibly hard for me to accept but once my lease is up I will have run out of savings and my kids and I will no longer have a place to call our own.

I am famously awful at asking for help, however this amazing fandom has convinced me to start this crowdfunder to try and raise enough money to try and buy a small park home or caravan for myself and the kids. It won't be much, but it will be ours, and nobody can take it away from us. I'm currently in the process of selling all my collectibles, furniture and worldly goods to try and raise some of the money myself, but anything you could donate to give my family some stability would be appreciated from the very bottom of my heart.

So... Who the hell, if both of those come true, is going to take over as Tory leader? There's no one left! Gove has stood down! After almost a decade on this site, I found another Tumblr user in the wild. I stopped to tie my shoe with rainbow laces this morning outside the silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg, and I heard it.

“I like your shoelaces.”

I responded the only way I could. “Thanks.” And then I reluctantly added, “I stole them from the president…and if that makes sense to you, I’m very sorry.”

The poor man, in full Colonial dress, stared at me for a long moment. And then burst into laughter. And said, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS and this has never happened to me before.”

This is supposed to be a comedy series so consider this: Crowley has sleep walking problems and has an incredibly stretchy body since he's a snake and shit. This culminates in the fact you'll always find him sleeping the weirdest positions and places.

Ladies, gentlemen and gentlepeople, here's a compilation of positions I think Aziraphale has found Crowley sleeping in:

Archangel Raphael

Is it Crowley? Is it Aziraphale?

What if I said he is the both of them?

I know a little out there thing to say but it’s a theory i’ve had hanging around in the back of my head for a while now because the thing is,

Crowley seems to have held the rank Raphael has but Aziraphale shows more of his actions.

These two theories have been around for a while and at no point am I trying to take away from what people have put together. This is just for fun and silly purposes. and I wasn’t kidding when I said I’ve had this theory for a while and just didn’t know how to put it in words so it might not be the best.

But let’s just start with who is Archangel Raphael

i like this a lot. they are two halves of a whole idiot, and it is a very good point that "your memory of your time as gabriel will be erased", means gabriel wouldn't be keeping his memories. he would be becoming someone else.

i have been circling around something similar myself. Let's also not forget Raphael is the angel that triggers the revelation and is one of the seven. When Gabriel leaves, heaven is down to six, so Crowley or Aziraphale had to return. Aziraphale may not have started out as Raphael but I think he will become him when he takes on the role of supreme archangel, a role I think Crowley probably had (and still has.)

I have a whole theory about them becoming one at the end. But then I have a lot of contradictory theories, several about Crowley's identity, and I have a sneaking suspicion we will never be explicitly told.

This is very interesting! It makes a lot of sense to me because Aziraphale and Crowley seem to be sharing several mythic, Biblical and/or classic literary characters and roles. They swap elements of Jesus and Judas, the martyr and the betrayer, the sacrifice and the scapegoat.

In the Final Fifteen, they’re both Romeo and Juliet: Crowley has Romeo’s “no nightingale” line but is also Juliet begging Romeo to stay. And they both seem to be Darcy making a marriage proposal and Elizabeth rejecting that proposal.

Sorry, straying from Raphael, but my point is that they’re rarely, if ever, just “Crowley represents A” and “Aziraphale represents B.” They’re both A and B together in this swirly mix of character and symbolism.
