So!!!!

Ponce and JFK were best friends when little I’m sure of it. If there is a Clone State as has been mentioned in the show the shadowy board clearly must’ve had schools specifically for the clones set up so i’m imagining them in pre school and elementary together and they just vibed right off the bat. Ponce saw this rowdy devil child and went “yes this one i will be friends with this one.” (also idk why but I really see JFK as a rowdy ridiculous kid like always climbing the walls playing wild make believe games and getting really into it, just the works. [projecting much?] i actually keep thinking about writing about the two of them when they were little so i’ll put that on one of the many burners in my mind)

so JFK would absolutely tell Ponce about him actually being a boy not a girl and ponce would go “i mean honestly it makes sense i was kind of confused on your status of boy or girl anyway” OH GOD OR!!!!! maybe ponce referred to JFK as a boy and used he/him for him a bunch when they met and JFK has this tearful confession of “actually being a girl” but feeling so happy when ponce and others call him a boy and being so lost and confused about it but Ponce is like “well it’s simple, youre just a boy with a girls body is all” bc kids rationalize stuff like that very simply don’t even lie. And JFK is just, so delighted and relived and thankful that Ponce doesnt find him weird or crazy and simply just believes him and validates him and JFK realizes “we are homies for life” yknow???

Ponce helps him out every single step of the way. I’d like to think he’s there when JFK tells his dads about him being trans (he’s like 8 and doesnt know what trans is but he knows how he feels) and he holds Ponce’s hand and tries not to cry while he tells his dads that he feels like he’s got the wrong body and Ponce holds his hand very steadfast and ready to defend JFK with his life okay 😭😭🥺

anyway obviously things are fine and dandy and things are pretty good! JFK does hormone blockers until he’s old enough for T and ponce has to help him with his shots okay you can’t change my mind for the first couple months Ponce comes over every friday after school and does the shot for JFK because it’s scary af to give yourself a shot even if you want it really bad ((two of my friends who have been bestfriends forever the one always gave the other his T shots for him bc he couldnt keep his hands from shaking while doing it and i just 😭💞💞))

and I like to think whenever dysphoria gets really bad, JFK just texts Ponce something seemingly innocuous like “movie night?” or “sick day” (when it’s extra bad) and Ponce just Knows™ and goes over and brings him a milkshake to-go from The Grassy Knoll and they play video games or if its a really bad episode he holds him, and JFK just cries and lets himself rant or be utterly silent and just shake a little and Ponce never ever judges him or gives him any shit bc why would he? Jackie’s his best friend and he’d do anything for him okokok  😭 😭 😭

also Ponce helped him DIY his first packer and made sure the bulge looked realistic dksjhfkhdsk

and Ponce is the only one allowed to call him Jackie anyone else even ATTEMPTS they get SOCKED
