obviously this has a lot of notes so apologies to op for tacking this on but as someone who the reverse happens to a lot, let me just say, you should still do it! you don't even have to apologize or acknowledge if you missed a message or its been a long time. some of us are just happy to hear from you, doesn't matter how long its been. its usually not as awkward as you think its gonna be. I feel better thinking "life must've gotten to them" than "guess thats someone I won't get to talk to ever again"
