foodstamps themselves are BASED, especially if you live in california. pls update your misconceptions about them, theyre not limited like they used to be! almost any grocery store outside of specialty stores uses EBT including fancyass places like wholefoods. some specialty stores do, but you have to ask before you go. i found out hmart takes EBT and its great, i get specialty korean groceries for free.

theres very few things you cant get. alcohol and hot food, but the hot food one is kinda fuzzy, sometimes things count and other times they dont. you kinda have to find out by buying it and seeing if it takes your card.

you CAN get snacks and chips and junk food, ice cream, desserts, ive gotten a whole ham, tri tip, a wholeass prime rib, etc.

if youre unemployed and disabled GET ON EBT NOW especially if youre in a richer state because you will have so much ebt that you will have extra and no idea what to do with it except treat yourself. i eat at trader joes and whole foods and hmart every month without running out of money most of the time. i am by no means living in luxury otherwise, but my food situation is GREAT and i live a little in excess ngl im grocery spoiled. theres a chance you too could get this.

Also!! I know in New Mexico, if you take your stamps to a Farmers Market, they’ll have a table there where you can pay stamps and get tokens to give to the local food merchants!! And here they’ll DOUBLE IT!! You get a set number that can be used on any foods including meat, and then a ton more excluding use on meat, with double the buying power!!

We got approved for some emergency a while back, about $100, and we went straight there to spend $200 on veggies and meats and mushrooms and local honey, with lots of extra to freeze!! We got a giant sack of pinto beans, and a gallon bag of pecans, one vendor even let us trade for their home grown loofahs!! Farmers markets kick ASS and you should absolutely find out if your local market has a program like this!! It’s a state thing in NM so they ALL have this option!

California does currently do this through the Market Match program, but Market Match is currently in imminent danger of being cut from the budget. This would be not only a blow to the food insecure, but to the farmers' markets, and there's not much time left to act on this because the budget has to be finalized by June. So CA folks, write your reps, you know what to do.

First, an archaeologist wouldn’t carbon date something. It’s not his job. This kind of analysis belongs to the archaeometrist, thank you very much!

Next, using carbon dating on a vampire raise really interesting questions. Because, you see, you can only carbon date completely dead things. Basically, the body absorb Carbon 14 while it’s alive, and after death, this radioactive element slowly decompose (half of it every 5730 years). When you measure how much is left, you can know how long ago the person/plant/whatever died. Going back to the vampire. Officially, vampires are dead. But they feed on human blood, living humans. I’m not sure of the logistic of carbon 14 linking itself to a body, but I think it would false the result. The good news is, as vampire can talk, they would be able to confirm or not. Meaning that we would be able to create a template and see if drinking blood reset your quantity of carbon 14, or if you can still get the age of death of the vampire by removing whatever carbon 14 they ingest through blood. But I think it would depend of how much blood they had ingested since their passing, and a lot of other variables.

The other question is: how dead is a vampire? Do they still breathe? How do they interact with their environment? Would that be enough to keep their carbon 14 at “normal” level? If so, they would be considered alive by this dating technique. Wouldn’t that be an emotional journey for our poor vampire?

I’m actually really invested in this.

I can specifically speak about lagonegirl as I was a follower. They never spoke to their followers. Their posts all had a similar format to Vox posts at the time. They would leave a written funny comment on their posts turns out those were taken from Twitter users and written out like it was their own words. The many popular Black tumblr users rebloged the posts and added more funny comments and post would get widely shared.

I’m starting to wonder if this is a new Russian scam. Get people to belief it didn’t happen so they can do it again.
