Hi I saw that you were taking octonaut requests. I was wondering if you could maybe do some headcanons for a octonauts x reader, where it’s their first day being an octonaut? Thanks!

I'm not sure if you wanted it romantic or platonic so I wrote it leaning more platonically but you may see it as you want.

Captain Barnacles:

Barnacles has been a part of the Octonauts for a long time by this point, so he knows his way around the area and everything that must be done. On your first day as an Octonaut he is eager to watch and help you learn and grow, being sure to take it easy on you since it is your first time. You were allowed on missions to help in any way you can but if it was too much for a rookie then he'd prefer you watch and learn but when he needed the whole team you'd immediately obliged. Since he is patient you won't feel pressured to get things done and oftentimes allowed you to try out missions on your own much like Peso did, being sure to call for help when absolutely needed of course. Needless to say he was very happy someone he cares for deeply is helping rescue and protect sea creatures.

Shellington:

Shellington was excited to have you on board the ship and offered you books and such to learn about sea creatures you had never heard of before or know little about. He would happily explain certain creatures and might try to convince the captain to allow you both to go check these creatures out and maybe find a new discovery along the way. He would show you the ins and outs of the Octoship and help get you settled down in your room. He is absolutely happy to be working with someone who is as interested in the unknown sea creatures of the ocean just like him and is eager to discover new ones alongside you and your other crewmates.

Tweak:

Okay, Tweak is absolutely excited since you two have known each other for a really long time and are happy to teach you how to fix and build things that are useful for almost anything. She would ask you to come along with her to the launch bay so you can learn from her and maybe even attempt to fix something yourself once she thinks you're ready. Tweak is grateful to have another helping hand within the Octoship and she maybe proposes a secret handshake for successful missions and bonding. Much like Barnacles you struggle to say "Buncha Munchy Crunchy Carrots' ' and although she won't admit it, she finds joy in it because it's silly and sweet that you both struggle to say it.

Dashi:

Dashi at first was pretty natural about having a new crew member and was respectful and sweet to you much like she is with everyone else. When she showed you photos of sea creatures and previous missions they went on she was happy to find out you wanted to see all of them out of curiosity and amazement, mostly because this was before you joined. Seeing them and partly seeing how much of a delight it was to be around Dashi made you wish you had joined a lot sooner. But still, it was great to have someone who was just as into photography as her and sometimes asked you to pose with the sea creatures as she takes photos. Obviously you're flabbergasted by her dedication to get the perfect photo and even get them in one take.

Peso:

Oh this sweet boy is delighted to have you join the Octonauts. He'd introduce himself first as he offers to show you around when you get settled into your own room. When your doing anything else he would ask if you'd like to come inspect him take care sea creatures in his office, he'd tell you stories that Kwazii told him and sometimes they'd make you shiver and most times you wonder if those creatures really exist, much to your surprised they did indeed by the help of Shellingtons knowledge. He would awe you with his gentle nature and overall genuine caring behavior he had for the injured creatures. Peso has been a medic for years and is eager to show you, much like his younger brother, how to bandage and skills he uses to do so. He may be shy and nervous at times but his gentle nature makes up for it and you make sure to let him know he is a great medic.

Kwazii:

Kwazii is absolutely eager to meet the new crew member and tries to convince the captain to allow you on missions with him to show you "how a pirate does it '' and basically wanted to impress you with his skills he learned in his days of being an Octonaut himself. Of course he would want to show you around the place, heck even places in the ocean they had already been before, he'd tell you stories about the creatures he'd seen and needless to say you were surprised to find out that Calico Jack was his grandfather and you were eager to hear more stories from Kwazii. He'd ask you if you'd like to try out the Gups and despite not wanting to at first, you ended up going on very fast trips with him around the Octoship. He'd ask you to explore wrecked ships that have been there for ages. You couldn't tell due to his excited nature in general but he was genuinely happy to have another helping hand and someone who was as interested in ruined ships and stories just like him.

Question: are there any petitions to sign or a place to write a letter to the government to show them we don't approve of the willow project? Also, if we find any helpful petitions like that, can we reblog them in your post?

There are petitions on the internet one I know is called Protect the Arctic and yes! We need this to stop so rebloging a way to help stop it will help tremendously
