ThatNerdReviews: Action Lab's 'Holy F*ck'

Written by rychu79

'Holy Fuck' from writer Nick Marino and artist Daniel Arruda follows the adventures of Jesus, Satan, and a nun named Maria as they try to thwart Zeus, Isis, and the rest of Earth’s mythological gods plan to regain humanity’s worship.

The Good:

Holy Fuck can be described in two words. Grindhouse.... Jesus. Its like Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez got together to make an insanely awesome comic book. The art style is great with excellent character design and story is easy to get into.

The Bad:

This book is not for kids or anyone that is very religious. The first page alone will have any holy roller praying for your soul for reading such "filth".

The Verdict:

After reading the first issue it definitely makes me want to read the rest of the books in the series. You can pick up your copy of Holy Fuck at your favorite Comic Shop or from Comixology's Online store.

Which well-known, fictional "Big Bad" villains do you see changing their ways and going the straight and narrow?

Good question. Mos to the villains I would say have done it already like Doc Octopus, Dr Doom, Joker, and Venom. Let's go old school and say Megatron. He's due for a good redemption arc

Go, Go, Hasbro Rangers!

Written by rychu79

You read that headline correctly folks! Hasbro has announced today that they will be acquiring the rights to the Power Rangers franchise along with multiple other properties to the tune of $522 million.

“Power Rangers is an iconic brand built on a heritage of great storytelling and merchandising with tremendous upside potential when fully executed across Hasbro’s Brand Blueprint,” - Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s Chairman and CEO

This is the second time that Sanab has sold the Rangers to another company. The Rangers were first sold off to Disney back in 2001 only to be reacquired by Saban in 2010.

I wonder how this will affect the upcoming Hasbro cinematic universe that's in the works? Will we see the Rangers go up against the Transformers? Only time will tell.

The “Walking Dead” Season 8 SDCC Trailer Is Here!

Written by rychu79

The wait for the new season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” has been unbearable. Even with “Fear the Walking Dead” filling the gap is just not the same. It feels like that season of “The Dukes of Hazzard” where Bo and Luke were replaced by their cousins Coy and Vance. But lets save that discussion for another day.

Checkout the Season 8 SDCC trailer below and hopefully it will make the wait not feel so far away.

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” will return on Sunday, October 22 at 9/8c on AMC.
