Stunning & Rustic Minature Paintings of Animals on Wood Slices
American artist KimeraWachna came together with her partner Yuichi Watanabe (previously featured here) to start her business of selling her beautiful creations, after she quit her job. Although the young artist is also known to paint stunning landscape illustrations, her talent to draw woodland creatures fits cohesively with the rustic theme.
Her depictions of adorable forest animals on tiny circular wooden pieces can be converted into necklaces. She transforms the wildlife animals into tender portrayals of their primitive side. Most of them are seen sleeping and serene, which adds to the magical beauty of her work. She admits:
“I love working small, it creates an intimate experience between myself and the natural world. I have learned to appreciate the process of crafting and have come to adore the unique quirks in nature, working to enhance its beauty, instead of forcing my own concepts.”
You can find more of her artwork in her Etsy shop.
