“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you.”
Back on my Diavolo simp bs:
Diavolo, wanting to learn more about your life, reads books from the human world so he can talk with them better. He somehow picks a book on birds and reads about how birds perform dances to attract potential mates, and he thinks this is something all species does, including humans.
Jump to the next time you and Diavolo meet, man starts dancing trying to impress you bc he wants you to fall for him as hard as he did for you.
Please explain to him that humans don’t dance like birds to attract lovers.
your friendly weekly reminder:
A grand total of 25 hours (and maybe even more) of my life spent on this thing.
Here's a zoom-in of the painting (a modified version of Giorgione's "La Tempesta")...
... and the original.
I'm gonna go take a nap now.
no but i find the idea of the demon king waking up from his deadbeat dad nap and having to witness all the shenanigans diavolo pulled while he was absent really funny
i hate how modern culture has kind of…pushed its narrative on fanfic. like, authors aren’t writing fic to be a product. they’re not writing it to please the public or make a profit off of it. they’re writing it for themselves and because they enjoy making people happy and sharing their stories with others. they’re not obligated to listen to any sort of suggestion/criticism/complaint/etc. because their fic isn’t a product. it’s not something you can rate. give kudos and leave a comment if you like it. scroll if you don’t.
You know what? I believe that you can finish your writing project. I believe you can update your fic. I believe you can work on your WIP. I don't care if you think it's cringy or bad. I don't care if we've never met or interacted in our whole lives. I believe in you. Keep going - you've got this.
Friendly reminder to all the writers on here:
You don’t owe anyone good writing.
You don’t owe anyone a complete storyline written in order.
You can jump around. You can abandon projects. You can write really shitty stories! Writing is about telling stories and creating worlds. Not about what makes your followers happy.
I have to remind myself of this a lot, because in most of my stories I’ve gotten stuck and don’t know where to go. But you can jump around. You can skip parts. It doesn’t matter.
Write what makes you happy.
1- Whenever you make yourself food in the kitchen you make three servings. One for you and two for Beel. Beel will smell it and you can never, ever not have something for him.
2- You buy every magazine Mammon is featured in. He makes royalties off of that and you want to support your first man in everything he does.
3- You check on Lucifer’s office every night. You either are bringing him coffee, offering to help, or are ushering him to bed depending on what he’s working on.
4- You text Diavolo, Barbatos, and the PH group every night to tell them you love them and that you’ll see them tomorrow since you can’t say goodnight in person most nights.
Fanfiction and fanart are bonus content, brought directly to you without monetary motives. That is so rare nowadays. You can and should if you're able to support these creators with donations, kudos, comments and reblogs. But you're not obliged to. You can consume it for free, because people enjoy sharing their talents with you. Make them feel loved for their gifts for us.

Y’know what? Fuck you. *Plays an acoustic guitar version of your leitmotif to show you still have tenderness and care in your heart, and compassion for others*
yeah? well fuck YOU *plays a music box version of your leitmotif to show that this is your home and its comfortable and nostalgic here*
No, piss off! *plays your leitmotif with immense reverb and a toned-down synth sound to show that nostalgia can also be about loss of what never truly was, a reflection of a reflection and a false memory of a false memory*
ok, boomer. *plays your leitmotif using discordant synth bass to display your spiral into villainy after you discover that your memories were a fabricated illusion that were created just to keep you complacent, and how that information is destroying you*
How many times do I have to teach you this lesson, old man? *plays your leitmotif in harmony with my own, intensity of both changing as our climactic battle’s balance shifts back and forth, eventually leaving only one with long, low pauses to musically represent our mutual struggle to overtake the other, yet not being able to exist in full without them.*
oh, you’re going to regret that! *plays your leitmotif on piano in short, soft notes to show that you’re being worn down, and that your energy is at a low, but with a steadily rising bassline that foreshadows your upcoming second form*
Thinks about how Vergil’s story is about the feeling of losing autonomy and control, of not being safe and going to every length you can to build up your defenses and power, hurt others before they hurt you, only for his self destructive path to end in the greatest loss of control possible.
He looses his autonomy, his name, his face, to the man who was responsible for this whole complex to begin with. and finally free and on the verge of death he’s still trying to regain control, casting aside entire parts of his identity to feel like he can’t be hurt anymore. but it’s not that easy. and that human part of him has to know what it’s like to have to rely on. Having to go to Dante, using the nightmares, even the very act of using a cane.
and now he’s in the underworld, having once again to rely on Dante for the foreseeable future. Just like in 3 they fight together really well, having each others back and covering each others asses, all while never losing that competitive streak. But they trust each other, because despite having it taken away from him numerous times, Vergil is giving up a bit of that control to trust his brother anyways im so normal about this can you tell ahaha
I have seen more and more readers on Ao3 mentioning that they don’t read non finished fics.
And I am not here to tell you to read fics that aren’t completed yet, because it’s not my job.
But please, if you subscribe to this policy, be aware that this absolutely contributes to fics never being finished.
Because writing a fic, especially a multi-chaptered-one, takes a lot of time and effort and writers need positive feedback to make it worth it. So if they aren’t getting it, the chance of them dropping the project altogether is significantly higher.
This pls
I followed a Resident Evil fic on FanFiction.Net when I was in high school for like 3 years that never got finished because I was basically the only reader. I still remember the name of the story 8 years later and still periodically check to see if they’re ever going to update it since they updated it once like 3 years after that. I was basically the only one that left comments. I can’t blame them for stopping.
I also got a common while back from a person asking if I was going to finish a story I started 10 years ago. At some point I am, just because they asked. Feedback really does mean a lot, even if it’s just a smiling emoji!
