Cupid and Psyche for June 🌿🩷🦋
Here is Cupid and Psyche relaxing in nature and being in love🧡 I've not drawn these two before, but they've always had a special spot in my heart ever since I first heard their myth as a child. It's one of the few Greek myths that actually has a happy ending!
Patrons in June will be receiving digital downloads, wallpapers, prints, and stickers of this illustration 🧡 Patreon.com/flaroh
Hurting myself psychically by looking at Blue Painted pottery from Malqata that I can never own
Amenhotep III went fucking hard on the crockery and now I have to sit here consumed with lust just looking at it, and feel the devastation of never owning it
Two old test prints of a famous oinochoe which I have long since forgotten the name of… I made this one in a real rush in 2021 after not having printed in a while so - again - not perfect, but it set the tone for the kind of things I want to print!

i think we need to bring back the greek and roman unswept floor mosaic. if i cant decorate my floor with a silly little food scraps and perhaps throw in a little mosaic mouse stealing a snack then whats the POINT
bro i hate iago but i always laugh at this exchange
i don't know who needs to hear this but literally none of the politicians active during the late roman republic had any interest in uplifting or empowering non-elites as political actors, and the political battle lines of roman politics during that (or any) period do not meaningfully map onto modern party politics as they exist in your country or mine
To be clear this post was about that and also someone who called Mark Antony a Democrat
Finally posting some art… here’s a recent linocut print - Minoan bird earrings! Seen at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum 🕊️
