Let's talk about the Lucia hug. Alot of people think that the only reason Simon hugged Wilhelm was because he didn't want to see him cry. I do not believe that. Wilhelm says "you're the only person here I can talk to" but right before that he says "I just didn't want to lose you". Simon is the only person who understands Wilhelm and can see through the Prince act that Wilhelm has put up. Simon understands that if Wilhelm said it wasn't Alexander and it was him. Then Simon would never be able to have a future. He would be kicked out of school and wouldn't be able to get into another one. Simon loves Wille and both of them let their guards down around eachother. Wilhelm wants what is best for both of them and Simon understands that. Simon isnt used to people taking up for him and he cares about other people. Wilhelm has always been taught to not show emotions. Simon has showed him that it is ok. Wilhelm will protect the people close to him before protecting other people like Alexander. Wilhelm holds onto Simon tight in this hug because the last person who promised to love him and be there died. He never got to say goodbye so what Wilhelm wants is Simon to know that he doesn't want to lose him like he lost Erik.

"Jag Älskar Dig" (I love you), which is what Wilhelm says. He was not looking for Simon to say it back. He said it as a promise that 'I love you and it's not going to change, I will do whatever it takes'. At the very end while Wilhelm is in the car he looks at the camera as Revolution by Elias plays. Now the line that starts when he looks in the camera says "Revolution". Revolution plays when Wilhelm first says he likes Simon and when he says I love you. Now what would start a Revolution? Them.

not me crying over the fact that the stupid society boys propped up their invitation to a secret club that literally invalidates erik’s entire existence, where they’re going to call wilhelm a first born son, in front of erik’s last gift to wilhelm ever.

is there a clearer symbol of how desperately august wishes to be the new ‘erik’ in wilhelm’s life?

Let me tell you why this scene was such a turning point in my vision/thought of first kisses (specifically homosexual ones)

I got into YR after I saw an edit of wilmon. While watching this scene, after Simon kisses first I thought that this scene would go the same way other series would have gone; one of them refusing and then trying their worlds best to not run into each other later. Then they would get into a proper one after a small fight or talk. BUT, YR surprised me here. I never thought Simon would dive for another little kiss and wille would sit there and let him have another touch on his beautiful lips. I had literally one thought in my mind "Simon is brave" he is brave enough to get another chance at giving wille a kiss. After the interrupt, they both are brought back into reality, and seeing Wille's blank face Simon whispers under his breath "fuck". Then wille refuses and stumbles for a bit and I thought okay now they both r going diff ways maybe but no. Wille initiates the next kiss. He takes it's slow and mellow, Simon puts their foreheads together assuring him it's fine and wille finally kisses Simon.

At that point, I understand how rich this scene is. they are not getting too much into each other's mouths. This is how I would be during my first kiss as a teenager. I would be scared, nervous but also will have the urge to kiss my partner just like wilmon has been portrayed in this scene. It's just so relatable.
