not really, people just fancy him bc he’s cute and a really strong DPS! Plus this is a rerun bc a lot of people missed out on him (saving for Zhongli) back then.
BUT basically, Childe is a special character banner, which means you only have about 20 days (or whenever the banner is still up) for you to wish him and then he’ll be gone. So people really want to get him now since they missed their chance before
