The best advice I have ever gotten from a magazine was in Jane (RIP): if you have to go to work hungover, wear a dress. People will think you look fancier than normal and won’t notice how wrecked you look. Plus it’s much easier to do than trying to match an outfit.

Incredible professional advice.

I find it really cool how Rose knew about Pearl’s big crush on her but it didn’t change anything about their friendship. In fact, the Crystal Gems apparently find it endearing and even a little funny when Pearl slips and shows a bit of jealousy.

You can still be close friends with someone you develop feelings for even if they don’t return your feelings. It doesn’t have to be an awkward mess.

I think that’s a really important statement to make when so many TV programs say the opposite… that friendships can only work if both peoples’ feelings are either purely platonic or romantic.
