Since I've seem Mokoma twice live now, and also mildly sprained my ankle in their gig's moshpit, I think I should seriously start listening to them.
happy disability pride month everyone! i wish you all supportive families, schools, and doctors, low pain, low symptoms, access to care and accommodations, and a lack of ableist assholes in your life for whatever your disability might be!
You know I wish fatphobia was less pervasive. Even among people who consider themself as progressive, it's rampant. So quick reminder. No it's actually not easy to stop being fat, and it sucks that we are treated differently for something we really can't control. Shaming a fat person for being fat, and shaming them for not having the "willpower" to become skinny- is bigotry. And if all you talk to fat people about is weight loss and dieting- congratulations! You're being a dick! Stop.
Anyone: Hey (asks about a special interest of mine)? Me: Becomes an unskippable cutscene
My new necklace has passed the test to become my top tier accessory. (my hand naturally goes to fidget it all the time and therefore I can conclude it's very fidgetable)
Rebecca and Dracula are neck and neck!
This match is still very close!
Happy disability pride month to all my physically disabled people! Wether you:
- Are chronically ill
- Are in chronic pain
- Have reduced mobility
- Need a wheelchair for whatever reason
- Wish you had a wheelchair but can't get one
- Have a tremor
- Are a spoonie
- Have reduced visibility or are blind
- Have reduced hearing or are deaf/Deaf
- Have an autoimmune disorder
- Have a skin condition
- Have something else physically wrong with you but you just can't figure out what
- Have some other kind of physical disability that I didn't think of/add here (feel free to put in the tags if you are comfortable doing so)
Don't let the world forget about us this July! We are here, we aren't going away any time soon!

(yes, mentally disabled people also fall under disability pride month but this post is meant to celebrate physically disabled people, please don't derail)
i love finnish slang culture so much like for example somehow we think "mielipide" (opinion) is too long of a word and just shorten it to mp (and not only just in text but out loud too), and then we just simply disregard any inflections for the next word
so instead of "[mikä on] mielipiteesi tuoleista?" ([what's your] opinion on chairs?) we would only say "mp tuolit" (opinion chairs) and i love it
I love "mä" and "sä" (I / you) because somehow we felt that a 4 letter word "minä/sinä" was too long with two syllables so we deleted the middle letters. (though there are other one syllable first and second person pronouns in dialects, like "mie/sie" )
It occurs to me that there are people who weren’t on this website in 2012 and therefore never saw the magical gif that you can actually hear:
It’s been over five years and that still impresses the hell out of me.
yesterday, käärijä put cat ears on one of his supporting rappers, jukka, and said “tui tui~” (basically this endearment thing) talked to him in a cute way and then kissed him on the lips and then said something along the lines of “fuck, i’m crazy!”
Audience: throws shit on stage
Käärijä:
Käärijä wearing a bra that says Mr. Worldwide and a flower hat he stole from someone in the audience
I am not a fan of all those lists of “untranslatable words” but I don’t believe that there is a translation of the word that can be as satisfying as “Feierabend” itself. One of the best German words. Incredibly good. 12/10. Everyone should feier their abend.
Idk if it's just me, but this man looks completely different without bangs. Still a cutie btw
