DONT USE THE PIRATE BAY PLEASEEEE I BEG YOU.

Use 1337x.to rarbg or rutracker, highly moderated public torrent trackers, because Pirate Bay has long been shut down, unmoderated, and cloned by some shady actors AND use Mullvad VPN (or any other vpn but mullvad is the best definitely) to protect your ip address while you torrent, bind it to qbittorrent and do not use utorrent anymore either because it is littered with adware.

OR if you don’t want to pay for a VPN, use direct download or streaming sites. Please y’all just take one pass through on the r/piracy or r/freemediaheckyeah mega threads to find whatever you want for free and also not infect your computer with Trojan viruses.

^^^ yes!!! Thank you sm.

If any of those terms made you go ????? and you think pirating must be So Hard, I wrote a verbose but easy to follow guide a while back for total beginners!

The time is 10:45am. Start opeation

This Barbie is
Death, destroyer of Worlds

I'm OBSESSED with how they set up the rooms

10/10 they understood the assigment

The Barbie movie plot out of context:

2 hours before Oppenheimer and I haven't done my homework yet

It's 40°C outside so I'm in my local sport supply store they think I'm wierd

I'm back for Round 2, with supplies this time

People it fuckin slaps, Cillian Murphy aced it. But my top point goes to the music and sound design, this is a masterpiece.

One comment tho

And the whiplash with Barbie is just so good, best day ever.

Both film are so good in such different ways (no spoilers I promise)

Barbie knew exactly what their audience was and what they wanted. The details put in costumes, accessories and setting are incredible. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are crazy good, both in the doll than the more human like aspects of the part. The "mother-teenage daughter strained relationship" trope has already been covered to death and yet they make someone very nice with it and all the side story with the Kens is so cool. The songs are good too. The humour also is really nice: the 4th wall breaks and references, the 'dolls world vs real world', the board of directors. The film is so earnest, both this the emotions and in the sense that it went all in with the concept without ever mocking itself.

Idk much about Oppenheimer's history so I can't speak about historical accuracy of events or characters, but I really liked how the story is told, braiding three timelines together: it manages to bring tension and anticipation to a story which is already known. Cillian Murphy is so good but all the actors are brilliant, I love Emily Blunt's character so so much. I could keep on talking about music and soundscape because it is brilliant: The way it uses silences especially, but also how some sound or some snippet of images are used as foreshadowing is *chef kiss*. And speaking of foreshadowing the introduction of The Famous Quote is really well done. Given the current events the final sequence and the hinting at the cold war are subtle but unmistakable.

Watching both successively was an experience: it's so cool to see the spectrum of what good cinema can do.

This is a map of 45,000 current & historical weather stations that have reported temperature data.

There are no political or geographic markers on the map, but it is still easy to identify land masses and some countries.

The way you can see Catalonia neatly shaped because of weather stations…

When we say we love talking about the weather we really mean it.

When we say we love

talking about the weather

we really mean it.

no it’s real

I'm worried about this trend of post about the Barbie movie who are all about "treating men like they treat women", mocking men who go see the film and even open misandry and other radfem idea without the radfem label.

That's not what the movie is about! It is not about making men feel inferior to women or hating on them. It's about everyone regardless of gender getting to decide who they are by themselves and for themselves. It's about not depending on love to be someone. It's about not having to fit in the expectations people have for you, no matter how nice those expectations can be. It's about how a worldwide only men in charge is bad, but a world in which only women are in charge is not ideal either.

Go rewatch the film. If the only thing you heard is the antipatriarchy message you did not listen hard enough.

"but if you're pro-union, why are you anti-cop-union?" because cops are not laborers. what cops do is not labor. they are enforcers of the laws that oppress laborers and exist solely to protect capital. don't bother me with stupid questions.

who keeps killing striking workers???

the cops

how come it's virtually impossible to hold killer cops accountable for their murder???

the cop unions

Restaurants and bars really love to test your sobriety by making the route to their bathrooms as labyrinthine as possible

Me: I'm not that drunk

Me trying to figure out where the Fuck they've hidden the restrooms in this bar: So this is how Odysseus felt huh

Everyone tagging this post with their local bars/restaurants that have ridiculous bathroom layouts.....I see u. I am u. We are all Odysseus, and our Ithaca is a toilet covered in stickers.

ok I just HAVE to include this picture from inside the bathroom door of this one bar I went to

only one of these knobs work and it's not the one that's a different color from the rest

There’s a tourist trap in NYC called the Jekyll and Hyde Club. It’s kitsch, overpriced, and kinda fun. The elevator is wonky on purpose, there’s animatronic talking heads on the walls, the paintings talk, the waiters are dressed up, and it’s all interactive. I’ve been there a few times.

But the bathroom?

This is the hallway to the bathroom. You have to read the titles of the books to figure it out. And they don’t tell you how to get in.

Riddle me piss!

Okay riddle me piss caught me off guard and now instead of being angry that these bathrooms exist I'm trying not to laugh and wake everyone up
