This is why I love this place so much.
Climbing it again in June :D

Though Taft Point is a short hike from Glacier Point Road and only a few miles away from bustling Glacier Point, it’s hard to imagine a more different Yosemite experience. Both offer sweeping views of the valley floor 3000 feet below, but at Glacier Point you enjoy them with dozens of other photographers and tourists. Somehow, photographic inspiration can be hard to come by near near so many tour buses and a gift shop.
I don’t mean to suggest Glacier Point isn’t worth visiting. In the early morning, especially, it was quite tranquil. Even during the daytime it used to be much worse. Between 1918 and 1969 the Glacier Point Lodge offered luxuryaccommodations and gaudy entertainment. In a nightly ritual nearly as disrespectful as the tunnel cut through the Wawona Sequoia tree to promote tourism, the owners hurled burning embers over the cliff, proclaiming the “Yosemite Firefall”
In contrast, two meters of ineffectual-looking guard rail at the precipice pictured above remainthe only sign of civilization at Taft Point, as well as the twinkling lights emanating from the valley below.

A quick trip to Yosemite National Park. A short hike up Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point for the best views I’ve ever seen. Truly a bittersweet day. Blessed to have experienced it, but wished I could’ve had more time there. Already can’t wait to go back

“Today I have grown taller from walking with the trees.” - K. W. Baker Resting in the reminder of what it means to be rooted and built up in Christ and established in the faith. I want to be like a tree, planted by streams of water, giving fruit, and not withering. I want to prosper. But I cannot accomplish this on my own. I need Thee, I need Thee, every hour I need Thee. I am nothing without You, Christ. Thank You for the cross and for loving us so fiercly. Praying that your hearts may grow more in the understanding of His love for you today, His everlasting love. #socalitylivesd #socalityyosemite #bedeeplyrooted
