the wild thing for me about tiktok standup comedians is that i almost never see actual bits. i see comedians picking on audience members? i get that it’s personal preference but tbh i hate that shit. did you not write enough jokes to fill the set so now you’re conducting weird, mean interviews for half the show? is making fun of someone’s tone when they answer you the funniest thing you could come up with? are you that boring?
this isn’t me being sensitive like “omg these poor audience members” because i know they’re fine. it’s moreso about how lazy it is to have half your show riding on the fact that someone in the third row wore a weird shirt and asking them what they do for a living. try telling a joke

my favorite is exhaustion. passing out, cuddles and warm blankets, slurred words and confusion. the softness of sleep. pushing your body too far. anything with that? i’m game for building anything around that but my end goal is always exhaustion.
