It's honestly so fun seeing how Janeway interacts when she has a Commanding Officer. It's something we've never seen from all of Voyager, and the Admiral giving her orders being Jellico is such a good one.

Jellico isn't bad, he's just a giant stick in the mud. If people thought Janeway adhered too much to Starfleet in the Delta Quadrant, that would've been nothing if it was Jellico who was stuck in the DQuad.

But also Jellico trying to order Janeway from helping or rescuing members of her crew?

Well, Janeway reacts to those orders just as well as Seven reacts to orders she disagrees with.

I need Janeway to pull this off in front of Seven because I know, I know that Seven would say something snarky. And then repeat to Janeway, verbatim, all Janeway's lectures about hierarchy and following orders.

point of order: Jellico is bad. The disasterously cowardly ceasefire he and Admiral Nechayev negotiated with the Cardassians ceded Federation colonies to Cardassia, including Chakotay's home world. Those colonists were either forcibly relocated or had no choice but to give up their Federation citizenship if they wished to remain on their homes of generation after generations. And even then they were still constantly preyed on by the Cardassians.

Countless thousands of Federation citizens were thrown to the wolves, and it didn't make a lick of difference--because 6 years later, the Federation was once again at war with Cardassia.

Anyway if you're wondering why I am so vehement about this it's because I wrote a lot of Voyager fanfic when I was in college and immediately after and I am pretty much on the side of the Maquis, always and forever.
