Racism/appropriation of indigenous ppl is RAMPANT in the furry community so let me say some things:

STOP calling ur characters w*nd*g*s. You don’t even have to change the design, just stop calling them that. Call them like. Skull deer or some shit there is no reason for you to be using that word.

Stop using “spirit animal” in referral to ur fursona. This is obvious idk why it even needs to be said.

Stop making “two wolves inside you” jokes. The “two wolves inside you” is in reference to a racist made up native proverb from a white dude.

You aren’t appreciating cultures by doing things we tell u to stop. If you want to appreciate: buy from indigenous ppl, respectfully learn about cultures, listen to native people, and DON’T MAKE EXCUSES.

honestly my experience as a trans man who doesn't pass (and probably never will tbh) has very much been one of falling through the cracks. oftentimes i'll be dealing with large mainly cis organizations with deeply ingrained transphobia who don't see me as a man at all but as a woman who is failing at being a woman. naturally they aren't thrilled about this so i deal with a lot of misogyny for that reason. but then i go to activist/advocacy orgs for support dealing with that kind of treatment and in a weird attempt to affirm my gender they're like "actually you're a man so you don't deal with gendered discrimination". this specific situation - powerful institutions seeing me as "confused woman" vs. activist communities seeing me as "privileged man" creates this catch 22 where i am never properly supported by either of them and left to fend for myself. this is also why the whole "women and nonbinary people" thing weirds me out so much because it implies that if i just IDed as nonbinary rather than as a trans man and kept everything else the exact same suddenly this discrimination would be gender based.

anyway. oppression is a nuanced thing and i think it's important to listen to trans men about our experiences.

@taraladair so ages ago I thought it would be hilarious if Vlad opened a bakery or whatever called Tepes Crêpes because it would be hilariously mispronounced ALL the time, and also that Gaius would have a rival bakery or whatever across the street, so maybe he does cinnamon rolls? Lmfao. I like it. What’s his shop called? The worse it is, the better

i dont know- i have a few i guess: take me home cinnamon rolls, gaius's bloody donuts (he has like those donut holes with the jelly inside, with blood alternatives for the vampires), cinnamon girl (with a picture of him in drag on the front)
