Fuck managers

I work at a movie theater, and at all times we have a person assigned to check people’s tickets at a podium in the front of the building. This is one of the worst jobs to do because you can’t move away from the podium and there’s nobody else around to talk to or anything to do. Normally, we switch the shift out every hour or so, so nobody has to stay there for too long, but once, my manager forgot about me up there and I had to stand alone for a total of five hours. It also happened to be a slow day, so I didn’t even have ticket checking to focus on. I got so bored that I wrote a song about the state of Idaho. It’s a fucking good song too.
